Nice work pointing out the fact you need a HANS with the harnesses - too many people make the mistake of using a harness and helmet WITHOUT a HANS and that's a recipe for snapping your neck. Love the mods! Keep the panels (relatively) straight!! ha!
shouldbeasy people also make the mistake of using a HANS device with a seat without lateral head support. Without that, it only offers protection in a frontal impact
Keep up the great work man. Can’t wait to see it that beast on track. Although I can’t help but the notice the grey Supra in the back just like “NOTICE ME” haha
Congratulations Jackie on the arrival of the new parts. I am glad you went with the new Sparco QRT EVO seats. They also save a few pounds more than the older Sparco Evo seats. Good that you aquired the SPL suspension parts. That should help tremendously with alignment. Good luck on the build and be safe.
Great job on the content. I always look forward to seeing your vids. Always informative and also showcases new products or products I haven’t seen before that are useful.
i think for a 2 seater, stock weight is a bit heavy by modern standard. hope that a billet block, billet cam gears & forged internals will be out soon.
A simple solution for initially torquing in the wheel studs would've been to just use two lug nuts (with the cones pointed away from each other) in a jam nut application. In fact, that approach would probably allow a much higher torque limit than the torx bit could apply. Lastly, did you guys use any Loctite to keep 'em in there?
Hey, Jackie, please do a session on the track with that OEM battery, instead of the light battery to test if the extra 40-50lbs on the rear axle will improve the rear end grip. It might be cheaper than creating downforce :)
We’ve already done a bunch of races with the OE battery and it doesn’t exactly seem to help the rear grip. Trust me, we can solve the rear grip issue with suspension, but you can’t make 3300 lbs disappear
It's cool you got SPL to support your build -- it would be nice to get Moton, JRZ or MCS to provide comparable quality coilovers to match. The SPL parts, and you, deserve better than Bor Chuan clones IMO.
i thought for the wheel stud you clean the threads on the hub and put a red loctite and torque to 20lbs?.. just wondering did you ever had braces on your s2000 and is it effective?
With all that weight out of the car, are you concerned with how much the 50/50 weight distribution got affected? Or are you planning on adding bits to the rear (aero) that will bring back some of the weight.
Mentioned this a few times, I’m not really concerned about 50/50 weight distribution, and honestly the advantage of having 300 lbs less in the car is gonna seriously outweigh the benefits of being 50/50. We can always tune the suspensions to suit the balance, but you cannot tune away 300 lbs of weight!
Hence why I said it's not an ideal set up and will be temporary. Roll bar is coming, that said a lot of Time Attack drivers will opt for the harness bar and it has been approved in many cases.
Jackie Ding it’s not remotely not ideal, it’s downright dangerous. No shop I’ve worked at or worked with would ever let a car leave their doors like that. Just because the rules say it’s ok doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. They’ll allow it until someone gets seriously injured or dies from sustained injuries. I respect your hustle man, and you’ve got a lot of viewers who you’ll leave an impression on. Do things the right way so others can follow a good example.
Permanent shop/shed? Wouldn't it have been better to get 1 with ceiling space and a car lift? Obviously I don't know what costs are associated with the difference leases and if you intend to do anything that would require a lift if you are using your partners for work done. Anyway, the Red Baron is looking good :)
Won’t be permanent, which is why a car lift isn’t really viable. Plus we’ve only just began and need to start making some money if we want to move to somewhere nice with lifts and etc
@@JackieDing86 I'm a little perplexed by your response lol. People would want to see a video about this. I want to see a video about this. Making content people want to see is a good thing, else it defeats the point of making videos. Why is it bad to make content that your viewers want to see? Make content they want to see and the views will naturally come. You're looking at this backwards
Reaction video and stuff I’m just not that into I suppose. The car is a track car, and we have a deadline to finish the car by, coupled with the snow in Chicago a few days ago meant we’re really short on time. Reactions will come when we finally get the car ready for the track, plus I’m also very much against ripping it on the streets, hence why I won’t create content like that

Sparco Evo seats are definitely the one for us skinny guys. You hit all the best parts. Cant wait to see the next video!
This is what we like to see, this year is stacked like usual
I enjoy the energy and enthusiasm to get the supra track ready! Cant wait!
About time you got rid of that huge battery. but the features on the new one are pretty cool. never heard of that before.
Keep up the great work man. Can’t wait to see it that beast on track. Although I can’t help but the notice the grey Supra in the back just like “NOTICE ME” haha
Look closely that’s not a grey Supra lol
Lighter battery is clearly a underestimated weight saving many don't even think about. Well done there
Looking forward for the Evo showdown

6:29 that is his bumper on his old Supra premium that he wrecked
All new suspension parts looking sexy! And holy shit a 64 pound battery? What a porky!
It's like a gt4 tune supra, nicely done.
Similar concept yea. Except we want to chase times on 200tw tires and have a lot more aero grip ha
so nice! really digging it can't wait to see it in action!
After coilovers a splitter and a wing you'll have a less safe, but faster version of the GT4 car.
And that’s the whole goal of this build, to build a Time Attack Supra that’s faster than the official GT4 version :)
@@JackieDing86 I think the biggest difference will be the tires. Those FIA slicks are incredible. Still you also have some advantages.
Finally.... been waiting on this for so long
Can’t wait to see the Supra back on the track!

I like the red accents on steering wheel! Is it just red vinyl?
Yup just red vinyl
i like the livery more this time around, but that silver is also clean.
We'll do something more original over the winter ha
How much weight right know?
Don't forget to fix those harnesses, Jackie :)
Awesome
Jackie
Can you not just double nut the wheel studs?
We found out afterwards

Full weight is around 3320 lbs, depending on the fuel load I believe. Our goal is under 3000

Yep haha
I dig it
What's the specs on the wheels & tires? Square 275/40R18 on 18x10.5 +40 IIRC right?
Yup!

Is Brian making some aero for the Supra?
No, Brian BMSPEC will not be involved in the aero side of the project as we are pursuing our own option!
Wing, splitter, canards?
Wing and splitter yes. And more!
wait a minute.... is that an RSX type S in the back there? Please tell me there's plans for that, too, lol!
