Great video thanks. Lots of new ideas. I started a scarf two nights ago. Got 32 inched done and am delighted with that. Last night I did a wooly cap from start to finish on the round loom, a nice green for Saint Patrick's day. I thrilled and looking forward to finishing the scarf next week. I want to do a brown cap tonight. It will match the scarf.
I never knit a stitch before this week. And have always want to knit. Earlier in the week I tried with needles, it was a total disaster. I think my casting on was the problem.
I'll try them again in a few weeks.
I am amazed how fast one can produce a finished garment using these looms.

I am a knitter from decades ago, before the loom method, that learned with long thin knitting needles (I will have them). My daughter in law learned on loom. She had been trying to have me try the loom. This tutorial was very easy to understand. I will give it try. Thanks for the instructions. I will have to hold judgement about which method is quicker. I am still learning towards the needles though. 😂. Hope your mom likes her scarf. ☺️

Very explicit video. Thank you! Wish I had seen it years ago!! After you get your 2nd layer on there, when you begin the work. if you would knit off the LAST peg 1st... you wouldn't have to hold that while you're doing the other side. I usually turn it around and do the far side 1st just because I do that last one FIRST.....it works great! I will recommend that my beginning knitters watch your video if they want to start using the long Loom.

Thank you SO MUCH! I just got my long looms back after having them in storage at my mom's for several years, and I had completely forgotten what to do. I was using the green Knifty Knitter loom (momma could only find the two longer ones), so I'll be making a few panels and stitching them together to make myself a nice blanket for my lap for the winter. Just finished my first one!

I have just spent the last hour watching videos to learn how to bind off double knitting on a circular loom. Yours is by far the best I have seen for clarity on how you bind off. I usually knit ovrt starting wuth the last stitch I did thus eliminating the need to anchor it. I also take my beginning end off the anchor after a row or two and lay it in the middle section between the peg rows and just do my figure eights over the top of it. It makes it invisible. I love the Michael Martin Murphey "Wildfire" ring tone on your phone. Very good video. I hope it worked for your Mom.

So far your way of showing how this works looks like I can do this with a fairly good amount of comfort. I am sure I will be back to watch again once I get my supplies so I can start at this nice pace. Thank you again.

Professional knitters definitely tie knots! I always do, especially with any acrylic or cotton (which tends to be slippery). I tend to make my knots very tidy and not noticeable. If it's wool, I just weave in for a bit because wool felts.
Some are against it, but like you said, if you spend so much time on something (and especially if it's for someone else), you should take a few minutes to put a tidy knot in!
