how did your mod go, was it easy to do and worked fine after?

I used a usb c cable that didn't work anymore and heated the connector with a Torch lighter melted the plastic for a seamless fit. A little 1000 grit sandpaper knocked out the tiny bits of plastic that lifted up. But got the job done
