      They both with catch you fish, very effective with any lure...but for flounder seems like gulp is the ticket most days

      @@TexasAllWaterFishing Any specific color? And which kind

    • @TexasAllWaterFishing
      @TexasAllWaterFishing  3 роки тому

      I'm flexible when it comes to colors, take several different colors in case they're picky. Last week white worked great. But here's my favorite colors, white, new penny, pink, root beer. The styles I like is mantis shrimp, swim mullet, and shrimp. The regular shrimp holds up best & mantis shrimp the worse but the mantis shrimp is my favorite. Hope this helps! Good luck & tight lines 🤙🏼

    If you want to save a few seconds on your loop knot. All you've got to do is tie your little overhand loop, through the hook or weight then back through the loop, (just as you did) but then just go one more time through the around and through the loop. And that's it. Just go thought the loop twice, and you can get rig of all that wraps and back through part. I've caught 100+lb tarpon on it so I'm sure of its integrity.

    • @TexasAllWaterFishing
      @TexasAllWaterFishing  3 роки тому +1

      Right on, I actually just started tieing the knot like that. I haven't caught a lot of big fish with it so I didn't want to show that knot because I wasn't sure how it would hold up. That's great to know that it will hold up under larger fish. Thanks for the tip I'll be using with a lot more confidence 🤙🏼

    The knot you tied for the lighter jig head is called the alpine butterfly, we tie those for rope access work.

    Can u use a 3 way swivel with different lengths of line to make the tandem?

    • @TexasAllWaterFishing
      @TexasAllWaterFishing  2 роки тому +1

      I don't see why not, they might tangle a little but really shouldn't be too much of an issue

    Just moved in near Tiki island, was wondering what kind of kayak I should get. Tried the Old town sportsman 106 but it was just so slow. Any recommendations

    • @TexasAllWaterFishing
      @TexasAllWaterFishing  3 роки тому +1

      Keep in mind there's no such thing as a perfect kayak. I wouldn't get a kayak under 12 foot, I've fished out of a 10ft kayak for a couple years. Compared to a 12 ft they're slow, track poor, and are terrible in wind. If you have the budget I would get a kayak with a drive system. I really like my outback super stable & great drive system. But it's terrible to paddle & can be tough when the wind with current are fighting against you. But I'm sure that's with any kayak. I would try to attend any kayak demo day. ACK & FTU have days scheduled throughout the year. You can call them & they'll give you dates. Good luck if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask 🤙🏼

      So you mean on the "Get'er Dunn Rig"? You could but the weight on bottom does a good enough job. I typically use a J Hook, try to use one that's a bait saver hook. 6 Sense makes a good one but if you can't find them just try any bait saver J hook style
