The landing in Dawson requires a challenging 270 degree turn between high terrain. The airframe pictured is C-FCSE, a 1970-built HS-748-2A series aircraft showing off some great RR Dart whistling. The flight took place on May 28th, 2012. Footage recorded from seat 2A.

Superb landing, this brings back memories of flying iin Dan Air HS748s around the UK. Its great to hear those RR Darts once again.

Nice clear day you had, very different than when I flew there. The valley was completely covered in mashed potatoes, and we almost diverted to a mining strip. Descended below the clouds and boom!, there's the runway! Wonderful plane. Thanks for posting this.
Classic aircraft, classic engines, classic flying !!Nothing beats the experience of flying in these planes. Sadly most domestic airline operators in Nepal phased out these aircraft some years ago ( maintenance issues ). Good to see that regional airlines in the states and Canada have given this aircraft life.

Fleet changed. I am in rotary wing fleet now and will call it quits in Nov 23. I worked in AVRO maitenance and was an instructor in AVRO Maint Training Institute. I get chocked when I realise that I will not be able to touch my favourite HS-748 anymore.
