Aledino knows boats and how to build em' but you know music and how to play it. Both are outstanding skills.
We we're in Harlingen that same day, sad we missed you guys, would've loved to catch up. We we're on our way to beautiful Terschelling!!
19:22 - the button cushions looking good, comfy and 'homey' in the salon.
Your little sloop passed a fully rigged ketch, that is a win. Well done.
@5:33 The tanbark sailed boat was wondering, looking over their shoulder and musing, "I wonder if they're using the same wind we're using?" Inconceivable!
She's not as fast as Magic Carpet, but I know which boat I'd rather be in if the weather turned nasty.... 🙂
I had the opportunity to work on a 3 masted schooner in the early 80's in Alexandria, VA. Wonderful memories
Your opening shot was outstanding. You have a photographers eye. It is always a pleasure to follow your adventures
Aladino is oozing happiness. So cute. You both are, really. You certainly are exploring a beautiful area. I am so happy for you. Your first swear word at 2....hahaha.
1 sailboat is a cruise, 2 sailboats on the same course is a RACE. Every sailor knows that ;-)
u got it !!!
duh...
. . . And then there are sailors as I used to be who are just out there to relax and enjoy the time afloat. I would wave to passing yachts who possibly thought that they were ‘winning’.
i do it myself all the time, you just want to know what the other guy has under the hood so to speak!!
So why then if you suggest to somebody why not enter a race with your boat ( same style of course) and they say ‘ oh I don’t like racing’ and they miss the 10x faster learning experience!?!?!
Not only are you the loveliest sailing couple, Magic Carpet is undoubtedly the most perfectly restored, maintained yacht on the seven seas,..and then there's Maya's magic music and poetic commentary, sigh💓
Not only your spirit has been lifted. You have lifted ours as well! Press on.
So glad to hear that, thank you so much Aaron :)
Beautiful cinematography!
1.6K+ like of this 6,546th view... "oooooooo" moment: 2:15 - TALL SHIPS.
5:52 another photo opp for admiring the beautiful varnish and finish - the fruit of all your labor-of-love.
What a beauty your boat is.
It was lovely to see those tall ships and it was even nice to see that elegant little boat with the red sails.
Bon Voyage, Magic Carpet looks as good as new. Vindo's were always very pretty boats and you have done her proud, well done.
Australian/German sense of humor is quite funny & very unique to Austria & Germany, I love it. Lots of irony w/ alternate side-looking half sarcasms.
Nice, don't ever lose it. it's a vital part if how to look at all of life's twists, turns & ultimate curve balls. Bravo Deno!
I love Aladino in hunting mode! This is after all where the name Yacht came from! Happy hunting!
Wow, She is looking good. Well done the two of you.
May joy fill your hearts, fair winds fill your sails!
Amazing vlog, the little "Ocean race" was the best part 🤣
Boy that interior is looking gorgeous with the new soft goods!
Isn't it?? We're SO happy! Thanks for the comment :)
I love that Bark Europa uses all her sails, including the studding sails. :)
So great to see you finally on the way north! The ship you showed us at 15:40 is the retired rescue vessel “Christiania”, a beautiful Colin Archer. It actually “saved” me and my family on the south coast of Norway last summer, when we caught a line in the prop of our old Windy powerboat. They threw us a line and kept us from drifting into the shore while I dove down to cut the rope.
Looking forward to the coming episodes, and hope you reach my beloved Norway 😊
Dear Magic Carpet couple.
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! You two are glowing inside and outside a lot more than you usually do already! What a relief must it be to be back on the water again and follow your dreams. Magic Carpet really does look like new. So: Congrats, congrats, congrats for all of that. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health.
It's so good to see you sailing again, I think it was a good decision to get away from the big boat for a while and refresh your passion for sailing. I think you are both very special people and your individual talents compliment each other so well. Aladino for his skills with boat building and you Maya for your extraordinary talents with editing and story telling and music. I have my own channel and sailing adventures but I struggle to emulate the seemingly effortless fluency of your videos. I'll be watching your episodes as they appear and I hope you have a lovely time in Sweden.. Dave
Y'all are just vibrating with excitement and contentment. Great to see.
I have to say chaps MC1 is looking rather gorgeous! Enjoy your passage!
great ep!! loved the seafaring music...wish you had another day showing more of the fantastic wooden/historical boats with all your interesting comments
Maya, you must realise (5:36 seconds), that whenever a yacht appears off the bow, headed the same way, in any skippers' eyes (Aladino), it will ALWAYS be a race. LOL
We went on the Jolie Brise last year and she is owned by a school not so far away from where I live in the auk. She is beautiful and I can see why she is Aladino’s favourite ship.
Majic Carpet loooks beautiful.
Hello to you both,my finger automatically goes to the like button.with a lovely couple having a happy life sailing or doing a project…enjoying themselves and…taking me with them, what is not to like….Thank you.Roly 🇬🇧.
Thank you so much Roland, we really appreciate it!
Beneath the calm exterior, the competitive spirit flows deep . Beautiful Tall ships.
A beautiful little sailing vessel transporting a lovely young couple on adventures we get to share. Thank you M&A 🎉
Magic Carpet is stunning, well done you two. Now comes your repayment for all your hard work. Loved seeing Europa and Soren Larson again. They were both in my home area of the Bay of Islands NZ . Soren was here for some time with Jim Cottier as skipper, perhaps when your folks were aboard. Let's here more of your beautiful violin Maya.
I am 26 years old now and I spent my childhood living in Friesland and sailing around the IJsselmeer, Waddenzee among other places on our 37ft yacht with my family. Lovely to see your videos exploring and enjoying the area. Also I appreciate the little details in your videos: getting background information right, pronunciation of places and generally how respectful you are to the locals and surroundings. You are becoming my favourite sailing channel
[Edit] our boat is in Makkum and I can actually see it at 12:02!
Thank you for letting me see places I will never get to. God Bless and happy sailing.
As always its wonderful to follow your adventures. Port Townsend or Europe, its all good! Aladino has that boat building skill but you Maya have music in your soul! I for one enjoy them both! Sail on!
Great episode. The tall ships were worth the detour!
I would go through the Keil canal (a bit boring admittedly) but the East coast of Denmark is stunning and well worth visiting.
I automatically love anyone whose primary means of travel are sailing and biking. Nice to see you two back on the water :-)
its soo good to have you back on the water. Thank you for restarting your adventures.
love your brightwork it's immpecable!!
Back in the early 2000's I was sailing my gaff cutter off Sandwich in the UK when we saw the Europa coming out of Ramsgate Harbour on her way back to the Continent. She was a wonderful sight under full sail and one that I shall always remember. Really enjoying following you on your adventures.
I fell in love with your Magic Carpet I, the lines on your boat, and the Mahogany varnish is beautiful. The drone shots are incredible. The both of you did a job well done. She outshines the majority of the boats out there. She is definitely a yacht inside and out. You are doing an outstanding refitting Magic Carpet II. I am happy to see you both enjoying your vacation and a well deserve one at that. Fair winds with following seas looking forward to following your adventures.
I've been following you guys since the beginning. For me, it's the best sailing channel. Congrats! You're great! You have so many skills!!! This journey is amazing, with different landscapes compared to here in Brazil.
I'm glad you're having some fun after all the work you two have done. It's funny in the beginning of your UA-cam journey, Aladino seemed a little suspicious and reticent in front of the camera. Now he's a big old ham. lol. Love your videos.
The opening seconds 1..5 show a spectacular sailing boat. Lovely video.
'Great seeing you happy and sailing again. Highest Blessings
I love seeing the Canadian flag. We saw the tall ships when we travelled to Nova Scotia very beautiful.
Dutch clouds, music, and beautiful classic boats: pilot cutters, Colin Archers, and Magic Carpet looking sharp. Pre-Pandemic, I remember seeing ads for Europa doing Antarctic cruises. Ships featured here are the some of the best. It appears a fresh, sea breeze is doing you both good.
Maya, I could sense and feel the admiration for your parents when you talked about those tall boats. What an experience that must have been! WOW!
Happy journey and calm sea.
Great video. Enjoyed the sailing and the tall ship regatta. Reminded me of one time visiting Denmark and the tall ships were in Port there. Amazing experience seeing all these beautiful large sailing vessels from different parts of the world.
Omg! What a treat to watch your videos. They are expertly and exquisitely made. Love your music and the music you select for each episode. Encore!
Thank you so much, that means a lot :)
Sailed there with my parents so often. Very nice to see you enjoying those waters and harbours. 🙏🏻
The boat Christiania is a rescue vessel and is has the additional name RS10. She is constructedby by Colin Archer. The boat is build in 1896. She had her home port in the North of Norway
RS, isn't that short for Reddnings Skute (or similar, my norwegian skills are far from perfect)?
Great to see Jolie Brise, have to agree with Aladino. Thank you for great vlog, look forward to watching your next adventures.
I had three most fun in this episode... I adore seeing the two of you living with gusto! Thanks for sharing your lives with us. It will be exciting to see what you both choose as your route North. No matter I am confident Magic Carpet will sail herself. With the windvane which is a huge help! You both have salt an teak in your blood..
Fare winds an following sea's ✌🏼💗😊❣️
When Maya is standing on a rock in the middle of the ocean playing the violin I would love to be on a different rock perhaps a hundred meters away listening to the melancholy sounds wafting across the water. I believe this experience could only be rivaled by the call of loons on a lake at sunrise or the midnight howl of wolves in a forest during a full moon.
Y’all make me smile. So good to see y’all on the water again.
Wow! As a part time maritime history nerd, I probably wouldn’t have been able to contain my excitement at a festival with so many tall ships. I could feel the Age of Sail Fanboy coming out during the shots of Europa. All jokes aside, another great episode as always.
-J
What fun! Good to see your boat in the water and you two moving again. PS, great music choices. Thank you.
Back to the great story telling of sails in the wind, thank you for sharing your lives.
Absolutely fabulous!!! You both deserve a rest from all of your hard work. Enjoy the efforts of your work! Cheers.......
15:00 your connection to the tall ships is fasinating!!!
All your videos have a little Magic in them Maya...... But when you are Sailing it just gets a little bit Better and the smiles a little Bigger...... :-)) xxxx
What a great edit! This was fabulous to watch and to see the lighter side of you two!
Fair winds and following seas,
Bryan from Vancouver
Love your choice in boats and sailgrounds! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
🥰💞💕💕 love the cushions color, very warm and cozy.
So good to see Magic Carpet on the water again. Aledino knows that two sailboats going the same direction, it's a race! Very good video. I would love to have seen the tall ships.
Wonderful episode. I"m glad you're back on the water.
15:51 - Aladino needs a T-shirt that states: "My boat is cooler than your boat."
Fantastic video and the start of a fun adventure. I especially enjoyed seeing and hearing about the tall ships.
So happy you're back on the water!
Great to see you both... your voice reminds me of lockdown..in a good way ❤️
Wow! Thanks for more content. I would liked to know more about the Solar panel and the Wind Vane steering apparatus. Maybe a short primer on their operation and importance would be good. The Sailing Festival was really cool. Thanks for sharing. Aladino was in Sailboat heaven. Or more appropriate Valhalla!
Magic Carpet is looking magical. Well done both of you.
Thank you once again for a spectacular episode. The tall ships festival was lovely to watch making my old not so nimble sea legs itch for a new adventure for which I have you guys to share it with. Waiting eagerly for the next episode.
Yínz, are producing awesome segments. An inspiring clip into the life your living at the moment>The commentary is a smooth comfort. Very nice work. Thank you for sharing. :)
Just another wonderful beautiful lovely show

Great opening scenes. The boat looks magnificent!
Absolutely beautiful scenery, the tall ships were spectacular. I really enjoyed the video , awesome job as usual.
Haven't watched this channel for a couple of years but I have to say Maya is looking even better with age! The video content and story telling is also superb. Will start watching regularly again.
Lovely. Just lovely. Thank you x
Oozing joy. Home is looking so cosy as you closed this episode off. Feeling your excitement here in Brisbane, Australia.
Happy to see you both on new journey after a long time
I like how your boat is now called "Our Magic Carpet", nice little addition 🙂 Happy to see you sailing again!
Yes I agree the opening shot is amazing and very artistic also what great pair you two are, stay cool stay loving and enjoy life
Thank you, Maya for sharing your adventures. It is really cool to "visit" those place, which you show and travel with you and Aladino staying at home. Keep up doing the great work!

Dear Maya & Adalino,
📮A Postcard from the Edge (of the Harbor,😉!):
I was just watching one of your videos from Season 1, and I have this to say: You are definitely NOT “decadent”!
Mmph‼️ If only all social media could be be like you two. We’re all just “huddled masses, yearning to breath free.” Yearning to breath free of HARM and of HYPE‼️
--
People who haven’t seen previous seasons, I think it’s very rewarding.
