Some of us do, but you don't have to. And the food was delicious and accommodating of various diets while still looking reasonably in-period.
How would you rate the combat intensity of this game? I am interested! It looks "heavier" than the lightest touch games, but not as "heavy" as the boffer games. And definitely not as hard-hitting as the SCA. I have been thinking about driving out to play for a while!
I'd say heavy enough to feel like you're actually fighting and for the blows to be detectable by someone in armor, but the foam LARP weapons used offer a lot of leeway and safety.
It is generally described as "full speed, medium touch".
It’s like a grade below boffer games, not because of the people swinging, because most of the weapons are plastidip if that helps any

Eh, this is just okay. The combat scenes don't really have fluid transitions, and the film shots, seem more as if taken and angled for picture taking then film taking.
Well, it's unrehearsed, live action, not sure how you'd get Hollywood style angles when there's no telling what might happen or where.
