    helo omor i cant train at gym since recent mortar attack so i have been trying strong man training. i told my father and he gave me number to gym who have men pull carts filled with large American people. everyone so nice and they say "The cart boy is so strong look at his massive calf muscle". this make me feel good and they no charge me for training and my calf muscle has never been so swolen. maybe canadia have similar carts for u to pull? god bless u and i never give up on ur calves even though they so small and tiny like little girl.

    Yes! Double unders for calves. I inherited small calves from my dad, and 2 years of double unders has made a definite improvement. I've had a couple of metatarsal stress fractures because I wear Chuck Taylors most of the time, but there's been a noticeable increase in in calf development.

      Cars Carandang it really helps to do really light leg extension 3 sets of 20 before squats and make sure you stretch your legs really well and your form while squating.should be perfect. I had the same problem , but not anymore

      @HeyCaaars 7 років тому +1

      Likely patellar tracking. Have your leg completely 100% locked out while the quads are relaxed, so that can be lying down or standing with all your weight on one bent leg and the other one straight in front of you relaxed, whatever. In this position, try to move the patella laterally side to side, if it doesn't seem to want to move in one direction, vigorously and deeply massage the connective tissue around it opposite of the direction it doesn't move in. Then, in quick succession, snap your fingers twice loudly while moving your hand towards your head. This will serve as a distraction for the next part; it's important that your hand is moving towards your head because your somatosensory cortex will perceive the sound as something coming towards it quickly and a threat and thus focus on it. Then, right after the snapping strike twice fairly hard (but not too hard) with the side of your hand below the patella, just like a doctor trying to do reflex test on your knee. This is called the deep tendon reflex. Since your knee is already locked out, it shouldn't do anything. Anyways, next, try to push the patella laterally again in the same direction. If you have done all of the above correctly, it will be able to slide much further. From my experience, this is the primary cause of both anterior knee pain and knee clicking in the majority of people. Normally it's something you would go see a therapist for, if they know how to do it at all, but it's so easy I think you can do it yourself. It's hard to explain over text, but I tried my best. The one thing you need to be careful of is that if you lock your knee out by laying down and then sit up to reach it, your rectus femoris is hip flexor as well as a knee extensor, so your quads won't relax and it won't work, so if you want to do it that way, you need to find a really high table like a massage table, and have only the one leg up on the edge of the table, and your weight in the leg that is hanging off the table. For me, the easiest way is having the one leg bent bearing weight standing, and the one leg straight and relaxed as if you were doing a single leg hamstring stretch. Hope this helps.

    Question Bulgarian Split Squat:
    What weight and rep range?
    I love these but I hate them as well - maybe I'm going to heavy? I noticed ~25lb dumbbells in the video, is that an appropriate weight for a trained individual? I would normally grab a 45lb plate and hold it at arm's length. That kills me though, especially as an accessory after heavy primary lifts like SQ/DL and Walking Lunges.

    Reason women do hip thrusts is because they are generally smart
    And are not worried about ego lifting + they want that hard booty.
    I do them because I don't want that weak link ie (the posterior chain)
    I consider it part of core.
    This way I don't get snapped up doing heavy Quad work.

      LaughNow CryLater All of those variables are relatively irrelevant and highly variable. See what you can recover from easily and never feel like you're close to getting injured. Your comment implies just you are an extreme beginner. For for you likely no more than 1 exercise/day for a few working sets max. Reps aren't very important you'll be successful with anything. Maybe have some days higher and others lower.

      My left knee pops and cracks and hurts when doing moderate to heavy squats or leg press. This only started within the last 3 to 4 months.

      ihansn777 Maybe go see an osteopath or something. A lot of different things could cause that.

      Well everytime I had knee problems the problem came from my back according to many physios and Biokineticists.
      You don't happen to have back problems?

    Finaly i will become the t-rex i always wanted to be!
    Dont know how true it is but, ive been told heavy bicycle with legweights grows almost everything in the legs... And for calves, walking on tip toes, and doing calves rises but with yout heels hanging... Go for a billion reps with as much weight... Sometimes slow, sometimes fast, and sacrifice some baby cows in the name of moloch the bull...
