Beat of luck with that. Be careful of the pillar plastics. They tend to break very easily and the top half of the plastic is held in behind the bottom half of the plastic. If you pull the top too far away from the pillar you'll break and the top plastic off
@@wewalkedonthemoon I feel like the headliner would crease very easily. But taking it all the way down requires two people and lining it back up is tricky. Best bet would be take off the B and C pillar plastics and take down that back half. The nut holding the antenna should be 19mm and pull the wire out as much as it will come on the outside of the car. Clean the mounting surface and install in reverse order.
The Infamous Seven Cylinder Did you remove the D pillar top trim completely or just separate it from the body like it was in the video before taking the headliner down? There seems to be at least two metal clips attaching it to the bottom black trim. Thanks again.
@@wewalkedonthemoon we eventually removed all the upper half of the plastic trim because we had to take the headliner all the way down and the plastic was in the way. But for initially looking for a leak we left it in place and just slightly pulled away from the pillars.
Your video was a life saver. I have the 2020 Palisade and recently when carrying kayaks on I-15 with high winds, it started to pull up the flush roof rails. Your video saved me with trying to figure out how to take the headliner down. Question for you now, I broke one headliner clip by the back moon roof. The black ones that slide into a metal bracket on the head liner and then snap into the roof. Do you think dealers carry random stuff like this? Or know where I can buy replacements?
I never replaced those clips. We ended up going with a whole new headliner because of the water stains. I dont think you can get replacements but its worth a shot. Go up to your dealer and see if you can show the parts guys what you need.
@@l.asgentlecareprovidersl.l272 no not really. The while thing should come out as one unit. With a couple bolts that hold it up and some tabs that hold it. You should be able to remove the bolts and push either forward or backward and get it out. The bolts i think are in the same spot as the sunglass holder

0:20 i have a 2020 palisade. I just want to lower the rear headliner. Do i have to take the side plastics off at the rear quarters to do that
Yes. Most definitely. There's bolts for the upper trim pieces. They're hid behind the lower trim piece.

Yes. And sideways at that. Wouldn't fit going out straight so we angled it to get it out and put the new one in

Was it leaking because of the sunroof?
Yes. As it turned out the clamp for the sunroof drain was not installed. So the tube leaked little bit of water
