      Vanessa Bustillos - I don't have Tourette's, but I have tried CBD-oil.
      It has a physically calming and focussing effect & no known side-effects.
      Large doses just make me tired, that's all.
      Please let us know how your husband responds to it.
      (I suggest trying a daily dosage for at least a week before expecting recurring results.)

    My Tourette’s is so severe, I’m in a wheelchair 3 to 4 days out of a week to get around. I am hoping to find a place near me that does this and I would get my butt on a plane tomorrow if I could have the opportunity to try this. My next thing is getting DBS Surgery for Tourette’s.

      yep, squinting and making faces all day is torture, the only thing that gives me some relief is smoking pot, which makes some peoples tics worse.

      I’m so sorry. I hate so much that this disorder has taken so much from you. From all of the amazing men and women and young children who suffer from Tourette’s. My son has been recently diagnosed and it has been so heart breaking to watch his watch him go through this and then his body hurts. My precious baby. Do you think that his mouth piece could be an aid in helping those with Tourette’s?

    Omg this has to be true because i have these really bad twitches but i have a retainer with a bubble and i noticed my twitching or the bullshit i do stops dramatically. I honestly believe this has to work i even told myself to get my retainer so i'd stopped this crap and it helped alot, i just hope this works, too bad this damn show never says where u get their treatments or anything so guess it's a lost cause.

    • @vegtbull
      @vegtbull 6 років тому

      This clip didn't explain that the study is still in progress. The goal is to demonstrate this is an effective treatment, so eventually insurance will cover it. It is costly to have one made and for children even moreso because their mouths are growing and changing as adult teeth come in. Do a search for "Dr Stack Tourettes" and you may be able to contact him and have one made. Best wishes!

    Sounds wonderful to me. Anytime you can have results without drugs that is a good thing, no that is a great thing. Especially in children but really everyone. I don't have Tourette or any family member but I do think my late sister-in-law possibly did because she had a tic. I never said anything but it was very noticeable and I always felt sorry for her. It has to be hard on children when we all know how kids can be with their teasing. As an adult, you have to feel self conscious about it and I just happy to hear there is help for people with this.

      @TSwithPets There is actually a female medical doctor in the US who says that coconut oil helps patients with Alzheimer's disease. But I don't know it it's true and/or if it relates to Tourette's in any way. If it did, I bet big pharma wouldn't want anybody to know about it...

    Sooo, I was looking online to find out if weed would help my Tourette’s and I find this video. The craziest thing is my dentist has already told me that I need a mouth guard because my jaw is not positioned right. I grind my teeth when o sleep to and so bad that I’ve cracked all my lower teeth. I just haven’t gotten around to it because of how expensive it is. How crazy would it be if getting this guard would help my ticks. Gez. Who do I talk to to learn more about this guard? Is it a special guard? Would my dentist know what it is? Is it the same guard she was suggesting to me already or is it differnt? Craziness.

    This mouthpiece looks incredibly uncomfortable, abrasive to the gums and not customized keeping other factors in mind such as grinding, clenching from stress/trauma/anxiety , dental pain and sensitive gums. The thickness should be lesser where it is not covering the gums or even touching the gums and holding the teeth in position without wearing down on enamel.. it should be a hybrid material..hard from the outside, soft from the inside...if the goal is to reposition the jaw/keep it in place from uncontrollable movements/motions, wearing a comfortable hybrid nightgaurd during the day should serve that purpose as well...the video talks about how if the piece is uncomfortable for the wearer, they can just remove it whenever they want versus injectibles that can help relieve muscle pain and promote regeneration of damaged nerves...a dentist/professional should design the mouthpiece not only for effectiveness but also for 100% comfort where the wearer can express their views about what can be changed /how the model can be improved for maximum comfort...it is the job of the dentist and the labs that design/manufacture these pieces to design them with optimal design..not rocket science.
    Advertising a poor sample to a population that is plagued with such a horrible, rare disease that ruins their self confidence and ability to function, is CRUEL.
    next time, please upload the BEST possible mouthpiece for such situations since people do not know what is superior quality versus sub par.
    Otherwise, thank you for the video and offering solutions to victims of this horrible disease in addition to stem cells and other injectable therapies that could provide relief if administered correctly.
