You have to check out their most popular song "The Beginning" live at Yokohama stadium Mighty Long Fall tour. It was in the the live action Rurouni Kenshin movie and helped them break out of Japan. Their music actually sounds more like The Beginning than the two you've checked out so far.

This song was the one pulled me into become an OORer. I feel the meaning in Stand out fit in so much, the last part when the mother smiled to the boy i broke down like it's so freaking beautiful. When you're lost in your way, if you look back there would still be somewhere you belong to
the dance is a traditional Chinese dance called Bian Lian. The red dressed performer is performing Bian Lian, which is changing their face. You can see their face is changing whenever they flashes their face. The guy changed his hair into golden color and his eyes into blue, depicting he wanted to be white.
There is another message if you listen to the song. He had lines that Asian parents might say to their kids, eat out stay thin. He also had a fraught relationship with his parents. I'm guessing the red figure is a specific cultural reference.
The part of me that wants to overanalyze everthing absolutely loves the last few scenes. My interpretation is a little different though. Our protagonist, now highschool(?) Age, fit in and found a friend group. While they may be good friends, they make bad choices. Those choices being shown in the drinking and driving, and the inevitable crash. The protagonist getting out of the wreckage, seeing that figure dancing, getting up and breaking out in dance feels like that right there was the exact moment our protagonist had his wakeup call. Then he's remembering his childhood and saw his mother, realizing he messed up. Absolutely beautiful.

That dance segment reminded me of the movie Billy Elliot about a 11 year old boy who loves ballet but is forced to be a boxer by his Dad. But when he finally stands up to Dad and shows how talented he is changes his Dad's opinion of dance so beautiful and touching.

I relate being the only Asian (Korean) student among all white school being bullied by all the students including so called friends and even teachers bullied me all the way thru middle and high school.
