They are incredible, and have such a superb back catalog. Taka is an absolute beast of a vocalist. Next? Absolutely everything...dive in and go!
Taka's voice is incredible live! I was fortunate enough to witness it three times now *_* The first song I've heard from them is Tsurai + Ichi = Shiawase (from the Keep it real single from 2006), which is one of my top 5 to this day.

Such a great Band! They have been around for quite some time and are massive in Japan and most parts of Asia. Last year (2023) they were opening for Muse on the Europe and US-Tour. They also have their own Europe-tour in like 4 weeks! Taka (the singer) was friends with Chester and the were scheduled to hold a joined concert in Tokyo, back in 2017. On the morning of start of ticket sales news of Chesters death broke. It was devastating. T.T

This is my first time watching your video so I'm not sure if you reacted to anime because you actually like anime or if it was just for your channel. ONE OK ROCK sang the theme songs for all the Rurouni Kenshin live-action movies so that might be a good place to start if you're into anime. I especially recommend "The Beginning" at Eye of the Storm Japan Tour and "Mighty Long Fall" at 35xxxv Japan Tour (particularly this one rather than the one at Yokohama Stadium if you're a metalhead). The band starts their world tour in Japan next week and they'll be in London on October 11 at Ovo Arena Wembley. Highly recommend you try to make it to that concert because if you already like them from just one song, you will be kicking yourself later if you miss it.

Jpop idol group is something like the kpop idol group. But for a reason he left the group. Toru found Taka and convinced him to join his band. That's the origin of OOR. I'm so glad Taka didn't continue to be a jpop boys group. That would just be a waste of talent.

I've been lucky enough to see them twice in small venues and even there, Taka makes you fel like you are in a crowd of 10k+. OOK is one of, if not the best rock band today. I would recomend checking out some of their older songs because it doesn't get the love it deserves. BTW they are all 35+ years old, they all just still look like their 10 years younger lol

So happy to see this!! ❤ The first time I heard them was actually their cover of 'A Thousand Miles' at their Mighty Long Fall concert at Yokohama Stadium. I was FLOORED by Taka's vocals; never heard a rock vocalist with just a stunning voice before. As others have said they're coming to Wembley in October! The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Uh-oh! I enjoyed a concert by Bring Me The Horizon at the venue in Nagoya, last year. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, including many all-female or women-fronted bands that I admire. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

I'm late to this video, but One Ok Rock is one of my favorite bands of all time! Taka's voice is insane live and never fails to amaze! You should check out their life performance of Take What You Want because it blows everyone away with how talented they are!

I've been lucky enough to see them twice in small venues and even there, Taka makes you fel like you are in a crowd of 10k+. OOK is one of, if not the best rock band today. I would recomend checking out some of their older songs because it doesn't get the love it deserves. BTW they are all 35+ years old, they all just still look like their 10 years younger lol
This was also the encore, it was the last song of the night, after a 2 and half hour concert and he was SICK. The concert started an hour late.

So happy to see this!! ❤ The first time I heard them was actually their cover of 'A Thousand Miles' at their Mighty Long Fall concert at Yokohama Stadium. I was FLOORED by Taka's vocals; never heard a rock vocalist with just a stunning voice before. As others have said they're coming to Wembley in October!

Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 ONE OK ROCK is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on.
Uh-oh! I enjoyed a concert by Bring Me The Horizon at the venue in Nagoya, last year.
Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, including many all-female or women-fronted bands that I admire. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)

I’m seeing them in a couple of weeks in the UK! They pretty much sold out Wembley ovo! Which is a big step up from last years concert which was in like a stadium over half the size!

If you're interested there are a lot of great artists from Japan, both Pop, Rock and Metal. My personal favorite: Band-Maid (Rock). And to name a few more: Bump of Chicken (Pop-rock), Aimer (Pop), Lovebites (Metal), Babymetal (kawaii-metal), Yaosobi (Pop), Sawano Hiroyuki (Pop/anime) and Nemophila (Metal). Give them a listen and have fun.
