  • Thanks to Mrs and Mrs Jones. They set a camera up in the bedroom window that snapped a picture of our pool installation every 30 seconds and made this incredible video for us!

    Did you place the pavers on top of the ground and backfill vs counter sinking them flush with the ground?

    Hey you haven't posted a video for awhile. Just checking to see if all is OK. And want ya to know your video on trying to get pump to work kicked me in ass a few years ago and I just found it again and now remember how to possibly bypass having to get new motor .thanks .

    Great videos, question for you, we have a semi inground pool 21' round all the uprights are composite (not metal) so how would I bond it?

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  2 роки тому +1

      This you would have to check with your county codes but usually you will get a skimmer bonding plate and bond the water

    Is the Intex sand filter pump work for non-Intex pool?

      It would depend on the gallon capacity of the pool

    Excellent videos, I have a Weissmuller 15 x 30 pool. Replaced the wall 14 years ago (looked like it was hit with shotgun so many holes). Not sure if wall is shot again since losing a lot of water. Wall not available anymore so may have to trash the pool. If I get the liner off and wall is ok I will purchase your liner replacement video.... would you recommend a 20 or 25 mil replacement liner?

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  2 роки тому +1

      I would always recommend the thickest liner you can afford

      @@abovegroundpros thanks for quick reply.... I know I have some pin holes in side wall, not sure where main leak is though... In preparation, what thickness sheet metal patch should I use? Lowes and Home depot have sheet metal in various sizes and thickness.... would think on pinholes thickness of patch shouldn't be a concern....

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  2 роки тому

      It doesn't really matter what size sheet metal you would be using because you're really just protecting the liner from the pinholes

    Quick question for you, how do you bond a resin pool? Everything is resin except for the wall.

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  3 роки тому +1

      You will have to add a ground lug to the wall bolts that screw the pool wall together

      @@abovegroundpros thats what I was thinking but I thought you needed to do 4 equal parts of the pool so I wasn't sure

    I'm installing a above ground pool as we speak. I don't like that there is only one return line, should I add more return line to the pool ? I was thinking of adding three more return lines, one more at the same level as the first one pointing down, and two more near the bottom pointing up. Can you tell me if this is a good idea or not. Thanks.

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  3 роки тому

      If you add more than one return then you're going to be cutting your pump pressure and thirds. Above-grounds circulate the water really well and only one return is plenty. It's not like an inground pool where you have very depth.

    I been trying to put one on my house I have pavers on my yard you think I can do it on top or the weight will be to much ?

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  3 роки тому

      I don't think the pavers would be a good idea. I would recommend removing the pavers and putting it in that spot on the ground if that's where you want the pool.

    I'm having a 18x52 round pool installed I had a 16x52,but when the pool installer came to mark the circle I happened to measure it and it was only 17 feet shouldn't it be a 18 foot circle

      @@abovegroundpros thanks for the reply yeah not sure why they made a 17 foot circle instead of 18 the pool I'm getting is the evolution,I do have a 7inch deep center,but now I'm worried when they install it they will make it 17 instead of 18,or is that impossible to do that,the box witch is in my backyard does say 18x52

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  3 роки тому +1

      It's impossible to do that. If they ended up trying to put the pool together they're just going to find that the sites too small but they might have just made a mistake when they painted it out

      THEY took care of it but wanted to ask you this,my sand filter and pump is all hooked up still filling with water,but from the sand filter to the return is hanging, in mid air shouldn't I get a longer hose so its resting on the ground,skimmer hose to the filter is,but the return isn't
