What a riot! Thanks so much for watching! A reminder that as Deadpool & Wolverine is part of MCU Phase 5, it'll be watched according to that release order. Stay tuned for it this summer or fall! ❤🖤💛

      Cool headcanon idea.

    • @ImAlsoMerobiba
      @ImAlsoMerobiba 5 днів тому +2

@inspectre27 It's not entirely just headcanon. In the comics, Domino generates a psionic aura around her, which gives her good luck and her opponents bad luck. It's basically passive, unharnessed telekinetic powers according to the writer.
While it's not explicitly 'stealing' luck, it's very similar.

    • @inspectre27
      @inspectre27 5 днів тому

@ImAlsoMerobiba The rest of the team weren't her opponents and giving bad luck to her opponents and taking luck from those around her aren't remotely the same thing. So your initial statement is still not true. It exists only in your head, which is what headcanon means.

29:46 In the comics, Juggernaut aka Cain Marko and Professor X are stepbrothers; This is due to Juggernaut's dad, Kurt Marko marrying Sharon Xavier, Charles' mom, after the death of Charles' dad, Brian Xavier. It's implied that Kurt Marko may have had a hand in Brian Xavier's death. Also, in the comics Juggernaut isn't a mutant, but a normal human mystically enhanced by the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak.
Behind the scenes trivia: Black Tom Cassidy was supposed to be the main villain, but his role was reduced after it was decided that there were too many villains in the movie. Juggernaut is played by multiple actors via CGI; Ryan Reynolds does the voice, which is altered, David Leitch provided the facial motion capture performance and performed on-set motion capture performance in shots where Reynolds as Deadpool and the Juggernaut interact.

32:23 Cable and Deadpool was a 2004 comic book series that lasted 50 issues starring both characters where they were forced to team up in many crazy situations! One thing that was really fun was that they had a letters column where Deadpool answered fan letters by actual fans writing into Marvel.

Juggernaut is Xavier’s stepbrother. He isn’t a mutant. His powers are magical. He got them from the Magic Ruby of Cytorak and a stone tablet with a magic incantation that turns him into an unstoppable Juggernaut. His weakness is telepathic attack to his mind but you have to remove his helmet first.

  • @michaelf.7172

Thank you, Kaiielle, as always, for the watch.
This is a fun movie. I kind of needed a fun movie, since I was still reeling from the Infinity Saga gut punch. The MCU just wasn't as much fun after that.
That said... yes, you should watch Blade. At least the first one. The 2nd and 3rd ones are okay, I guess. But, I'm a sucker for an origin story. And, you should watch the Ben Affleck Daredevil. It's not a bad movie at all. I enjoyed it. That said... I really enjoyed the Netflix Daredevil show much more. And, if you're going to watch the Fantastic 4, watch the one with Jessica Alba. There are 2 of those. I actually enjoyed the 2nd one almost as much as the first. (But, I've always loved the Silver Surfer.) The remake from 2015 was different. Not my favorite. But... I only saw that once. So, yeah.
At any rate, I do hope you watch the other movies before Deadpool and Wolverine. No spoilers, of course. But, a lot of the fun of Deadpool is all of references. If you don't know about them, you can't enjoy them. And, it's never as much fun to go back and rewatch for getting a reference you missed. But, that's just me.
I did like Domino's character, and her super power. The rest of X-Force... reminded me a lot of the new supers in The Incredibles 2. (I don't remember if you watched that or not. But, if you have, you'll know what I'm talking about. It's like... a reference! :)
What else? Hmmm... not much else to say. As always, I'm looking forward to watching whatever comes next.
Thank you for the time you spend doing these reactions. We were out in El Paso visiting my daughter out there, and we were talking about UA-cam reaction videos in general. I hadn't ever watched any before the Mandalorian Season 2 Finale. Covid was such a weird time, and it was just nice having connection with folks over movies. My daughter agreed, watching movie reactions is like getting to enjoy a movie with a friend. I appreciate it a great deal! Thank you.
    Okay... it's late here.
Have a great rest of the winter, and a delightful spring. I'll see you on the next one!

If you take into consideration the behind the scenes stuff getting project to screen, Deadpool 2's behind the scenes drama is crazy. The original Deadpool director Tim Miller and Ryan had creative differences over this one so Miller had to be excused to go direct T-6: Career Suicide. That's just one of the insane hurdles of this sequel.

Great reaction like always love this movie, love all the cameos the 2 guys in the truck at 12:36 are Matt Damon and Alan Tudyk (from Tucker and Dale vs Evil) and at 22:43 is Brad Pitt as the Vanisher he got paid a cup of coffee to do that one scene. Deadpool calling Cable "One Eyed Willy" is not only calling him a dick, but a reference to "The Goonies", which had Josh Brolin among the young cast.
Fun fact: The David Bowie comment in the movie was a post production addition, when they had to reshoot a couple scenes it was around the time Bowie had just died so they added it in. Keep up the good work.

Aside from the spectacle and gags a second, they did a service by representing the side characters in spirit of their comicbook counterparts. Even though Black Tom Cassidy got only seconds of screentime, his character got his due even as the butt of a joke. Black Tom and Juggernaut were partners for a bit in the comics. Domino and Cable have close ties, being teammates on several occasions. All the minor parts are not 1 to 1 of the comics, but they are who they are. Instead of being shoehorned into something else.
This makes Deadpool leagues better than any other X-Men movie by respecting the characters, even the tiniest roles

I missed this! I was so happy to see it when I got up this morning. A strong argument can be made that Cable is one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel universe, as the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jane Grey). But all of his mutant power is tied up eternally fighting the technovirus transforming his body. If not for that, his powers would be phenomenal.

A brilliant sequel to an amazing original. Been a Ryan Reynolds fan since the first few seconds of "Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place" back in the late '90s and my appreciation has only grown over the years. He, Wade, and Guy could pretty much have their way with me and I'd hardly complain (Guy first, though...he'd be gentle, and he'd find "the button").😉
38:56 Well, they had to top the awesome Ferris Bueller ending from the last one. And just wait 'til the next one. No Spoilers, but....full frontal...😁
43:12 You're pretty well-versed in the lore, but those movies were on the homework list I gave my Mom before she watched the Deadpool movies (especially the third). Hardly vital, but they do add some context here and there, which is fun. Totally your choice though, I could argue neither with your logic nor those dimples nor that cleavage.😻
Disclaimer/Full Disclosure: Please pardon my insolence, I wouldn't usually be so indecorous, but I'm way, wayyyy into my first all-nighter in years. Cheers and Happy Weekend.🥃❤

When it comes to films you should watch before Deadpool and Wolverine, I would say don't sweat it too much. Blade and Daredevil (2003) are the only ones I would say are necessary to watch first.
Some would say watch Blade: Trinity first, but it's unnecessary. Ryan Reynolds co-stars in it, but the only real reference is a behind-the-scenes thing that watching the film isn't going to shed any light on.
As far as Fantastic Four, the only one you really need to watch is the first one (2005), and I'd actually recommend you watch Deadpool and Wolverine first, THEN go back and watch FF. I think knowing you're "supposed to" watch FF first and having it fresh in your mind would actually be counter-productive in this instance.
    Them's my thoughts.

Juggernaut is, as he said to Fire Fist, Professor X's brother. He is not a mutant, however. His abilities are magical in nature, stemming from the Crimson Gem of Cytrorak, a demon. Those abilities being extreme durability and being the literal "Unstoppable Force". He CAN be slowed, but not completely stopped.
There seems to be a few different versions of the movie, because (unless you didn't include it in the UA-cam Cut) there's a Stinger scene not included here. He DOES go back to the hospital where the Angry Austrian was born. He said it's a lot harder than it sounds.
And Juggernaut has been portrayed once before, in X-3. And was not accepted well. Because, again, he's not a mutant.

18:31 Same. I recall seeing five minutes of it and I was just like…nope. Off this goes. My issue with the movie is it never made sense. I mean, all the other stuff isn’t something I want to watch…but the plot should be something I can suspend disbelief and buy into. He was a doctor, he can’t have completed med school and still thought this would be successful. And he wasn’t doing groundbreaking research - we already know how stitches work.

You should react to both Eurotrip (2004) for another fantastic Matt Damon cameo and all around hilarity. Also might be my favourite comedy movie of all time. So quotable. As well as FX's Legion series about the X-Men character Legion who is one of the most complex, interesting and tragic characters. The series is fantastic and one of my favourite series of all time. Although it has no connection to any of the fox X-Men stories and limited connection to any of the known X-Men characters, it is a must watch imo.

A possible middle ground for all the “enhancement” movies: you could watch them without turning them into Reactions. Just watch them for yourself when you have the time and inclination, if that’s a thing you have the option/time to do.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see proper reactions to it all. But if you don’t want to devote the time, it doesn’t necessarily have to all be recorded for the channel.

I said at the very start of my X-Men journey that the first X-Men movie and the Deadpool's would be technical rewatches. I actually didn't want to do formal reactions to the Deadpool movies, but they were heavily asked for to make the X-Men reaction experience complete. I'd rather be fully truthful than lie for views.
