The revolving door of QBs started with Dennis Green. I believe Rich Gannon was his first starting QB followed by Sean Salisbury who was an adequate backup at best, Jim McMahon, Jeff George, Warren Moon, Brad Johnson, Randall Cunningham, Dante Culpepper. I'm sure I'm missing a couple more....can someone help me out for QBs during Denny Green's tenure? And remember it started with Rich Gannon who was a very good QB. It's a shame he didn't play his whole career here, or most of it anyway.
Funny thing is, even when GB sucked fuckin shit (1971-1992), they still only had 2 or 3 QBs. That's the thing about GB: They stubbornly hold on to outworn practices. Fuck Green Bay and all of their fans. I shit on them.
@@jdbly5934 He was a very good player, we were happy to have him in Seattle for that Super Bowl run/victory, he was key. Now as someone else also suffered from sleep apnea, I can tell you, the struggle is real and so are the migraines. :(

100cv cv He isn’t worth $28 million but we had better hope that he can play all 16 games. Sloter is all we have at backup. Hes another Speilman special QB who can’t pass the football. 7-9 in 2019.
The speed of Harvin was INSANE. Patterson was fast, no doubt, but the way Harvin just exploded around defenders who had an angle and then gained separation was truly elite.
It’s like a holiday every time Funky posts a new video. And it’s funny, I can remember exactly where I was for each of the TDs going back to Michael Bennett
NFL doesn't want teams return kickoffs any more, claiming (rightly or wrongly) player safety. That's why they've made the rule changes about tandem blocks, touchback coming out to the 25, etc. Through wk15, there have only been 4 kickoff return TDs league wide. From 2013-2017 only an average of 7 return TDs per season. From 2007-2010, there were an avg of 20 kickoff return TDs per year.
The Miracle Minnesota Vikings! Has always been my favorite team since the age of 6.. I have seen so many spectacular plays.. The amazing, Minnesota Vikings! A NFL football team That has had loads of talent.. Adrian Peterson, Randy Moss, Chris Carter.. That's just the name a few.. I have seen My team the Minnesota Vikings, many times.. They have never won a Super Bowl many Championships, But have lost 4 super bowls.. They're due for a Super Bowl.. Go Minnesota Vikings!!💯👏👏👏🙏👀2020!
I remember this game here cus at 1 of my previous jobs me and some other guys there had weekly pool and I was the only one that had picked Minnesota to win this game and round up winning that pool
It's crazy, considering some of the players the Vikings have had over the years, that the longest pass play is Gus Frerotte to Bernard Berrian, and the longest run is Chester Taylor.
No way. Getting in the HOF as a wide receiver is an incredible feat. There are so many players ahead of Thielen (and Diggs). A guy needs to be a top 3 WR during his time to even have a shot.
Michael Bennett carried the ball with good form and didn't try to earn any style points by slowing down or doing a back flip or spinning the football on his finger. Very refreshing.
I might watch one Vikings game a year, so these are sort of the cream and sugar you rarely have drinking your coffee black, but tastes like a special treat.
Nothing quite like that volume change from Yes! to YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on those big plays
Love the vid but I think it’d be cool if this was just longest offensive TDs and you made a separate video for longest kick/punt returns (wouldn’t have to be touchdowns cause some years we didn’t get any)
I went to the Vikings Rams gamem in 2017. We bought tickets in the beginning of the season so front row seats were like $120 and the week before the game tickets were $800
The older clips are mostly taken from poorly done consumer tape recordings. The native quality of the actual broadcasts looked better. The NFL has the 1990 Superbowl on it's UA-cam channel, and the video is sourced from the broadcast master so it looks quite good.
that was the first season I actually started watching every vikings game and every play.. though those years direct tv only put the packers on and not the vikings or the broncos.. was so happy :)
I loved Chester Taylor. What a baller. Him and Antoine Winfield, Jarius Wright, Chris Walsh, and Tom Johnson. None of them were the biggest, or the most talented. They just were exceptional football players.
If Harvin's head was as good as his legs; scary. Could have been hall of fame material. But Vikings knew he was a risk when they drafted him. What a talent.
Percy Harvin was special
highlight heaven the goat
Sup goat
One year had a note that it was 3rd longest. What was the longest?
Bro was high af every game too
And Patterson
The quality difference from 07-08 when HD came out is actually insane
Yah
Paco Beast That’s what I was gonna sau
That’s exactly what I was thinking lmao
2004 Plasma tv, when you could first see individual blades of grass. I know, I paid $2300 for a display model.
Yes
Dude Percy Harvin was incredible. I miss those years and it still hurts how we lost in the NFC Championship in 09 to the Saints
Yep. That, and the Falcons NFC championship loss are the two biggest heartbreakers as a fan. Percy was gifted.
Fun video, I like the Reverse chronology method, thanks. Can't believe how many QBs we have had in last 26 years! Green bay, 2 or 3. Vikings 23 or 24
The revolving door of QBs started with Dennis Green. If you don’t have a top 12 qb it’s hard with money to keep 1 qb
Yea, but a lot of those guys weren't really qbacks.
Don't forget Spergon Wynn, Jay Fiedler, Todd Bouman..

Enjoyed that one . Percy was a great player. When he played. A few players I barely recall.
I always wonder how good Harvin would've been if not for injuries and turning into a total douche.

Pound for pound in my view toughest Viking ever!!
In 11, he was in the mid season mvp talk
Man I miss Patterson.
ANOTHER DUMB MOVE ON THE VIKES. YOU NEVER GET RID OF SPEED EXP WHEN THAT SPEED HAS FIELD AWARENESS.
Has he ever returned a kickoff for a TD since he's been with the Patriots??
Paul max yup he has
He was too stupid to run routs
digitalgliff he wanted too much money
The ball thrown on that 99 yard pass by Gus Ferotte is one of the prettiest looking passes I’ve ever seen

When?

Id forgotten how much of a returning monster Harvin was. Wow.
The speed of Harvin was INSANE. Patterson was fast, no doubt, but the way Harvin just exploded around defenders who had an angle and then gained separation was truly elite.
I miss the Cullpepper to Moss days.
Yeah if Culpepper actually stayed healthy which unfortunately he wasn't
Yeah he was fun to watch just was never the same after the major injury
Culpepper sure threw a pretty long ball!
I miss ponder
Wow, some great names throughout the years. Bonus points for a Harbaugh, a Ditka, and a Wayne Fontes cameo...
It’s like a holiday every time Funky posts a new video. And it’s funny, I can remember exactly where I was for each of the TDs going back to Michael Bennett
Bennett's was a bust!!
The difference in the camera quality between 2007 and 2008! 😯 woow
same thing will happen next year or in 2020, when TV willl be brodcasting 8k video
Just realized we haven't returned a kickoff or a punt in 2 years (2016).
Yeah, we miss Cordarrle
gary cobiak Marcus Sherels almost got one today
@@TC-to1et Yeah it would ev' been nice too, got tripped up and we only got 3 out of it
Luxuries for Priefer having Harvin, Cordarelle, and Sherels to make him look good.

I love your content. Always high quality and enjoyable.
2:52 that speed is crazy
I had to rewatch it, damn that's another level
Yep both Percy and Patterson we're mega speed demons ...I wish Bridgewater would have worked out..poor guy that injury really hurt his career
Bridgewater sucked before his injury. Dude had comparable numbers to Christian Ponder. If you think he was good then you're an idiot.
Wesley Johnson this certainly hasn’t aged well
I forgot this but right before that 99 yard td pass by Frerotte the defense made a goal line stand. Makes it even cooler lol
So every long td in my life thank you.
Man Harvin has wheels
I like the Vikings
the quality of games has improved so much
The Miracle Minnesota Vikings! Has always been my favorite team since the age of 6.. I have seen so many spectacular plays.. The amazing, Minnesota Vikings! I always loved watching Robert Smith run.
I enjoyed this very much. I am hoping you can get some older Vikes stuff too like purple people eaters and Chuck Foreman years. Thanks!
That ESPN sunday night crew back then with Theisman and the boys were the best.
Only Joe Buck can make a call so bad that you wish your team hadn't just scored.
Percy Havin is just high as hell scoring long ass TDs... gotta love it!!!
Poor Sheldon could not find the gear, lol! Welcome back, SKOL!
Thank you for putting my Vikings on play those passes were lit and runs
I think it's funny how the longest TD in 98 was defensive despite their offense being the best in the league.
Dylan Salerno
I would have guessed Moss,Carter, Reed, or Smith. Certainly not Duane Rudd!
Great upload! thanks
Jack Del Rio VS Jim Harbaugh hahaha damn.... I'm feeling old!
I can't imagine anyone being faster than Percy Harvin. I'd love to see him and Moss race goal line to goal line.
Michael Bennett faster than both.
@@travisbergh3923 We'll never know :(
10:37 Two future NFL coaches mentioned in one sentence!
I know, I thought that was funny. I wonder who has a future coaching career out of current players?
I want more Vikings from 80s and 90s
Loved this video. Only thing that spoiled it was hearing Berman's voice.
love it.skoal.christ, I forgot about Frerotte playing for us.
Hi
Twice.
the tv quality difference 2007 vs 2008
Bennett, taylor, peterson, cook, mattison can we all agree vikings have had absolute studs in the back field for 20+ years
Dwayne Rudd was really fast for a linebacker.
I have a feeling that this guy is a Vikings fan -just a hunch!
I still rock my Patterson Jersey every Sunday. 😎
I love the Vikings
Man I miss Percy Harvin.. His time with the Vikes was too short
Great video!
Favre and Peterson get a lot of credit on that 09 team, but Harvin in my opinion was the teams MVP that year. Total game changer.
BINGO. ..
5:48 why is the skylanders imaginators theme playing?
I remember this game here cus at 1 of my previous jobs me and some other guys there had weekly pool and I was the only one that had picked Minnesota to win this game and round up winning that pool
I almost cried seeing Teddy through that screen pass
I saw that game live at the stadium
It's crazy, considering some of the players the Vikings have had over the years, that the longest pass play is Gus Frerotte to Bernard Berrian, and the longest run is Chester Taylor.
Thielen gonna Be in the Pro Football HOF someday!
unless we keep saying that.
No way. Getting in the HOF as a wide receiver is an incredible feat. There are so many players ahead of Thielen (and Diggs). A guy needs to be a top 3 WR during his time to even have a shot.
Good stuff, mang!!
Percy Harvin has always been my favorite Vikings player, it shows.
Man, I wish this video was a lot longer!
Michael Bennett carried the ball with good form and didn't try to earn any style points by slowing down or doing a back flip or spinning the football on his finger.
Very refreshing.
Imagine harvin and Patterson on the team at the same time
they were DUMMY
Awesome video.
Man 98 was fun
2:05 since when was the cardinals 9-e?
Haven't heard some of these names in eons...
which is our longest TD this season? I'm thinking Kene Nwnagwu kick return against New England or Dalvin Cook's run against the Colts
I might watch one Vikings game a year, so these are sort of the cream and sugar you rarely have drinking your coffee black, but tastes like a special treat.
i love the way Robert Smith runs.
How was the 2000 footage better than all the footage up till 2008??
That clip was from a video officially released by the NFL.
Nothing quite like that volume change from Yes! to YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on those big plays
Love the vid but I think it’d be cool if this was just longest offensive TDs and you made a separate video for longest kick/punt returns (wouldn’t have to be touchdowns cause some years we didn’t get any)
How did we go from drafting Percy Harvin and Coradalle Patterson to not having any punt returners who can even catch the ball
The fact that you saw no Adrian Peterson plays says a lot about the skill players they’ve had over the years
Actually keep coming out with these videos!!!
Man I forgot how much of a speed demon Harvin was.
4:05 probably Percy’s most memorable moment as a Viking
I went to the Vikings Rams gamem in 2017. We bought tickets in the beginning of the season so front row seats were like $120 and the week before the game tickets were $800

Crazy how Patterson is still doing his thing
Could you do longest play from scrimmage from each year?
What irony- all that 1998 Vikings scoring and the longest touchdown that season was NOT on offense
Let's go Vikings
Go diggs
My favorite team baby!
What a weapon Cordarrelle Patterson and Percy Harvin were.
I loved Harvin and Patterson so much.
Why was roahdes 100 yrd int not on here
Percy spots Lion's only hope at 2:52, then doesn't alter his angle one bit, covers some ground by 2:53.
1:45 the browns are 7-5 ???? Since when are they above 500. In week 13
Mason Pennoyer Detroit was 9-4 too lolol
That first play. Sounds like there were a lot of Vikings fans at Lambeau.
That DT for the Jets though at 1:46....wow!
That's current Viking Sheldon Richardson!
that was the first season I actually started watching every vikings game and every play.. though those years direct tv only put the packers on and not the vikings or the broncos.. was so happy :)

I love seeing TDs scored against the Packers...
Love the Vikings skol!
I forgot how fast Percy Harvin was. Damn that dude could fly

Crazy that Adrian Peterson was not in any of the highlights. Harvin was a BEAST!!!

I loved Chester Taylor. What a baller. Him and Antoine Winfield, Jarius Wright, Chris Walsh, and Tom Johnson. None of them were the biggest, or the most talented. They just were exceptional football players.
why are the Vikings in 99% of these?
Lol. That one against Seattle though was 35 to 0. Seattle was 35
Basically Percy Harvin highlights lol
4 out of 26. He did have it every year he was with us, but it would be similar for every great return specialist.
If Harvin's head was as good as his legs; scary. Could have been hall of fame material. But Vikings knew he was a risk when they drafted him. What a talent.
They always had good returners
We are gonna make a longest play compilation
Cordarrelle
