- In this Sci-Fi short film, we are thrust into a post apocalyptic future where artificial intelligence has taken over. Singularity has been achieved. However it has not been favorable to humanity. Hanna- an Augmented human, and her partner are on a mission to rally with a group of resistance fighters when they encounter an unexpected A.I. threat - the likes of which they have never seen.
This short film Advent Rising was shot using Zeiss Ultra Primes and the Red Dragon 6K camera. - Фільми й анімація

This was very well done. Loved the actors, they did a great believable job. Interesting story line. I especially loved the Hanna character fierce, strong, and HOT, everything you need for a strong lead. This is what all shorts MUST be it has a beginning, a middle, and most important an end. If this is part of a series, looking forward to see the rest.

Impressive. Very impressive. I want to know more about this world and these characters. The idea of an AI insect, a spider. Opens up a lot questions about this reality. Why spiders? What other kinds of robots are there? I can feel the obvious sci-fi influences here but also new IP like Horizon Zero Dawn. Well done. Hope to see more.

Awesome short sci-fi film. Special effects were incredible. Story was good, gave enough to make you want more. Questions: Was spider destroyed by blast in spite of shielding? Did it transfer consciousness to another spider or did it trigger an awakening of the spider army?
Good questions the first blast is an EMP disabling the shield. The second exposition destroyed the crawler. When the crawler goes off line it triggers its’ replacement. Consciousness transfer will be explored and or explained in future episodes. Thanks for watching.
@@IndieFilmProducer I take it the female soldier had no grenades left for her M203...she sure worked a ton of rounds into its shield to no avail..seems the grenade would’ve been worth a shot. I had a hoot and a half shooting practice rounds at an old decimated Russian tank from a rooftop in Afghanistan!! They were full of a yellow powder substance to mark where the round fell. Tank was a good 150 meters away....good times!!

Excellent suspense and drama. Well balanced from background soundtracks to acting. Special effects are well refined and highly realistic. Directing and cinematography first rate. Good work on the robotic critters. Good acting and story line. Seems the robots were almost unstoppable. She wasted a good bit of ammo with no effect. Time to try a different strategy?

Excellent machine design it make remember the spider of THE MAZE
Why? When they were sweeping the room I was like no one looked up. Not once. If we learned anything from life it is to always look up and under everything, or the room is not cleared. And then the robospidy showed up and I yelled, I told you to look up.
You always look up.
I'm a civilian and I know that, but for literal bugs. Or birds. Or something I shouldn't walk under for my safety. Any soldier/seasoned paramilitary would know to look up, so I'm thinking these folks are WALKING DEAD-type fighters: once-regular people learning fast and well as they go but still imperfect.

The machine and music were great, but there wasn't enough shots where machine and human interact in the same frame.

Now for a few thoughts. Giant mechanical Tick, like the bitey kind.
Was the girl an android of sorts or simply enhanced? Oh, she was smokin' hawt as well. Too much eye make up for my taste.
Great, not good, but great special effects. The tick busting through the window was excellent.
The gunshots confused me a bit. Were they actually impacting on the giant mechanical Tick, or being absorbed by that force field looking thingy? That was confusing. Sorry.
Last, was she on the machine's side?

So...the dude wasn’t dead and the wound seemed to have been to his upper right shoulder area of his back which didn’t appear life threatening, unless the weapon he was hit with was poisoned...why wait till the spider thing to get right on top of him to use the grenade? Seems when the thing was busy coming through the window would’ve been a perfect time to toss it next to the wall just under the window....instead of sacrificing himself. Anyway, awesome short!!!

Why does the idea of AI have to be so dystopian? If we can accept the idea of AI why not one where human and AI partner into a future neither could envision?
Yeah it could be one where AI comes to view us much as we view dogs....but so long as the intelligence and respect exists between the two side the partnership could soar to galactic levels.
And each will benefit from the contribution made by the other. Think StarTrek's Data, for instance.
Anyway....nicely done short film.

Why are there always kamikazes? The idea was okay with Aliens back is the 80s, but now...
More air-soft players making videos. I did enjoy it overall and everything looked very nice. Just one tweak, real bad ass's don't sweep teem members with the muzzle or their firearms they keep them pointed in a safe duration with their finger off the trigger or at the target. Sorry but it was driving me nuts.

Lets start with: Why humans would need or want any kind of robot? I would dare say the list of reasons would be very long. This list of reasons would directly effect the types of robots designed. On that note, I ask: Why would you want or need a forcefield armoured huge ass killer spider? Doesnt make sense. Yet on the other hand, after human designed robots acquired the intelligence, the robots designed these spider-bots themselves. Again, Why would even intelligent robots settle on a "spider" design? Again, doesnt make sense.

It's okay, but it needs more context. I think this needs to become a series. Although, I fear it will be a ripoff of the Terminator. But on the positive side, there won't be any time travel involved.

Thanks for the 5:38 of viewing. Fair point of view. But if that bothered you wait till you see it go through the window at 7:05. It did make a choice that going down the stairs would most likely cause the second floor to collapse on it which could slow its progress. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
@@IndieFilmProducer I did watch all of it, it's just I think the Evil Robots Cannot Go Down Stairs trope (Darleks, ED 209 of Robocop) is silly. Considering how agile Boston Dynamics's Atlas robot is even now. I mentioned the forcefield because a post singularity AI with forcefields is basically clarketech (technology so advanced it is indistinguishable from magic). But that is contradicted by the spiderbot's clunky movements. I did think the bot crashing through the window was an awesome scene. Were I doing this story I'd've made it more hard science by scrapping the sillytech forcefields and instead giving the spiderbots an armoured carapace with kevlar, fullerenes etc, and making it as smooth and agile in its movements as the Boston Dynamics robots already are today. I'd also have the humans use grenade launchers, antitank shaped charges and so on. Btw I loved the girl's enhanced cyborg vision near the start. I do appreciate all the hard work you put into this, and the high production values. It's just that I tend to approach these things from a hard SF perspective
