As a retired nurse this is just as hard on us nurses as it is with families as we feel the pain and the loss but the courage it took that family to make that hard decision and it’s a hard one during a high stress time

As im scrolling through UA-cam, i came across this and didn't know what an Honor walk was. Well, it didn't take long to figure out. That young man must've been a very special soul. Sending out love to everyone. My 83 year old mother is in the hospital, and i spend alot of time there. I wish the staff had a fraction of heart and compassion to patients and their family members like this one does. Thank you all for doing what you do.
My brother was a donor, he gave 3 organs to 3 different people only when he passed they didn't have honor walks, so I wear a pin for him, they look like they're only sleeping bc they look pink and so well, it fools you, it fooled me, I believe your spirit is already gone, Dwayne's walking along side just as my brother did, may his twin, dad and mom be comforted, always.

Yes that is correct. When there is not brain activity but the machine is keeping his organs alive. It’s like his car engine is running but the driver left.
First of all my condolences. But I have to tell you Everytime I see one of these I get really upset. I feel it should be a very private, dignified time with the family. I don't even believe in open casket funerals. To see Dwayne there without even the tubing removed hurts me. He was just wheeled down the hall to be taken to be harvested and his brain is still aware what is happening but he has this obstruction there. Prayers and blessings to the family during their time of loss.
Did I hear correctly that this young man has a twin? It must be the young man in the red walking beside him every step of the way! Praying for them during this time as I’m sure all has gone quiet.

My 5 year old granddaughter had her honor walk too! These people are truly hero’s & the parents that honored that decision!
