the real abuse wasnt the shop glitch, it was letting agumon starve and be sleep deprived

yes memory has every thing, and games are state-based when having a good design. So, it would be inevitable to find way to change the state to something more advanced in the state machine.

Imagine this kid just showing up in some area he has never been in before, and then pulls this off in a little over 13 minutes after showing up.
I did not understand the mod, but damn I appreciate the effort in this as must as watching a 100% long play
I'm constantly impressed by how different my favorite childhood game can be perfected by others.
Not a mod at all, everything you see here can be done with a proper copy of the game :)

Great for you. It took you just 13 mins to finish the game while it took me 15 years to finish it.
I remember when the first time finish this game in 2001,how i struggle at mt infinity using alien digimon(i forgot the name)to beat machinedramon,and when i found this vid u make it very easy lol,but well it's not a big problem because at that time i'm very enjoy finishing this game,for me digimon world,ff 7,and suikoden 2 is the most great rpg game in ps1,many good memories

I loved digimon world when I was a child, remember the first time I got Phoenixmon, tha sad thing in this game is the digimon diyng from old... just unfair :(

Wow amazing run first of all. It's the first speedrun I've witnessed for this game and it's just mind boggling.
Second of all, I noticed you had a bar telling the pace of the super attack charging. I've never had that both in an original PAL game and in an NTSC copy in an emulator. If anything I'd only have an empty bar. Do you know anything about this?

There is also abuse of item where item box can be opened during the start game and you get every item if not wrong.
That only works in the original initial japanese 1.0 version. You can technically still do it, but it requires opening the disc tray and tinkering with the console or disc is not allowed.
Hardware manipulation is one of the things pretty much all speedruns ban. Not to mention doing it can damage the console or disc.

the community has come together with sharing their findings on it for the last 5-6 years, its come along way since then

Also I think you might be getting more views lately because a certain famous Poketuber has been doing Digimon World
Yeah it can, but Gabumon gets less stats from Offense training and starts with Sonic Jab, which is weaker than Spit Fire
my views seem to be the same as normal but ill keep that in mind :)

I really want to go for WR for a full game run. Could you advise me on things I should look out for without major glitches? I'm still trying to perfect the golden poop slots without slowing.
@@Relvamon exciting!, i hope you stream your attempts, most people will shy away from going for top times in this game due to the slots and excessive RNG manipulation
I guess i can just recommend watching the current record here ua-cam.com/video/uR1NeRjIRYk/v-deo.html and using it as a reference, keep in mind that 99% of the time if i do something in this that looks weird, its probably necessary to manipulate the rng, also this route will only work on the japanese version of the game, so doing the same things in english will require a new route and rng manipulation

I always wonder what tools are used in these memory glitches? There has to be someway to read the current values of these varriable etc
There are tools used to make the route initially, but when performing the run itself they arent used at all, doing so would be cheating
@@RaikouRTA that's for the reply. That's pretty interesting. I always watch these runs and wonder what goes into it. You gotta have a good memory to fly through those menus

How come you didn't have to fight metal greymon?
i mention it in the video, but the glitch item i buy 66 of sets both Devimon and Metalgreymon as defeated so they aren't there anymore

i always wonder how do people find out about this stuff? When to put things where and when, to pause the game and how often etc.
Yeah. And why, too
Actually if someone knows the programming algorithm, he can exploit the game, because for example when pause button is pressed, then a fullscreen session is triggered, then after the pause glitch is triggered he can manipulate the in-game variable by exploiting value at shop and so on.
So if you have ever made a game programming progress before, I am sure you will understand

one thing that make no since the player has A digivice out side of the digital world but in side of the digital world he the player seem to lack A digivice
He gets sucked in his Vpet which is clipped to his pants in his art :)

he was some how able to avoid them with the glitch
I don't get, how he did 9999dmg with Agumon?
My Digimon's Offense is glitched to around 40000, which doesn't do much for individual attacks but the finisher gets maxed out at 9999
