So miss Chile which I absolutely love! Those Andes peaks are amazing, people are lovely, the scenery beautiful. Great trip report. Gracias Chile from Portugal 🇵🇹
That's travelling back in time relative to you, to actually travel back in time, break into NASA's Headquarters and they're probably hiding a time machine in there.
I hate music in Tripreports. I want you to experience the flight the same way I did, with the same sounds around me... :) Music would just ruin the authenticity.
LATAM is one of my favorite airlines and I've flown this route back in 2011, operated by the A340-300 and had a pleasent flight. Now, they've changed the meal selections and it seems to be better, with more options.
I like the Auckland airport. Very nice. Love the plane interior lights. The food was awesome too. Great aerial shot of the Chilean mountains and the Santiago airport also seems to be pretty nice. By the way. That was a really smooth landing. Nice!
It is cool. They use mood lighting so you are not that jetlagged. I flew from Sydney (via Auckland) in november 2018, and the only thing I didn't like was that the crew blocked the windows at dawn and released them an hour before landing. At the beginning there was not much to see, but as my flight entered the continent in the south of Chile, we missed a big deal of the beautiful mountain chain!
Emmm yo he volado varías veces en LATAM (porque es chilena) de hecho antes no se llamaba LATAM sino que LAN Línea Aérea Nacional Tiene un buen servicio 😌😌

Oh God I got sooo excited when I saw this tripreport because I’m from Santiago and it’s like omg he went to my country!! LATAM is one of the best airline love it
Some flat earthers say that there are no direct flights from Australia/NZ to Santiago. They say that we need to travel to LA first and it proves that the flat earth map is right. Thank you for this video, now I can easily debunk them😂
Awesome Trip Report! Really fun and interesting i would say! You have done the best work you could have done in this video!😄 Keep up the excellent work!💖 You are the best Simply Aviation!👍
Curioso.
Good video men. Today i will go to punta cana in a 787-9 and this video help me about how the latam 787-9 it is. Good video, well all your videos are good regards from Chile.
Looks like a nice airline R.I.P TAM Edit: the seats look amazing and good for a flight like this. Cozy!! I love Emirates but this airline looks good to fly in.
At the same time i am watching your Latam flight review from Auckland to Chile, i am also tracking a Latam 787-9 Dreamliner from Auckland to Santiago De Chile., on Flightradar24 ✈Enjoyed your awesome flight review👍
I've been taking this flight to Chile a couple of times a year - except for the covid years - since the early A340 days. Pretty much the same in the air post covid but big changes at the new international terminal in Santiago. Inwards it is a breeze - just be ready for a very long walk. Outbound it is a shambles - the only redeeming feature is the LATAM lounge which puts all the Qantas lounges I have ever been in to shame.
in february 2020 (before the pandemic was a chaos in all the world) i flew to madrid in LATAM from santiago in a boeing 787 and the flight was amazing! The food was delicious! Greetings from chile!
In spite of the corporate-level fusion, LATAM flights operated by the former LAN (Chile, LA flight codes) are still better than flights operated by the former TAM (Brazil, JJ flight codes). Some difference is likely to persist, as LA uses mostly 787s for long-haul, while JJ is investing in the A350. Yet they will tend to converge in the future, no doubt, but I hope it's more on the higher level of service. Not holding my breath, though... :-(
I like to watch your videos a lot since I am a lover of aviation I always take this route Auckland Santiago with Latam an excellent airline and Chile a beautiful country To take a stopover and travel Asia to the other South American countries my last trip was to Colombia but unfortunately due to the pandemic I could not go to see Ecuador
Yes, sometimes the music can get in the way of the report. Not always, but I won't deny that like Bob McCoy (below) I also enjoy the sounds of normal living in your videos! Thank you for this one. This is a trip I very much hope to do one day!
Thank you for posting! Had no idea Latam had 787s on their fleet. I have only flown national trips and the airplanes are small and kinda old, considering latam is the most expensive airline in Chile, because it’s Chilean and was the only airline over here a few years ago... I guess low cost airlines are doing some good to the competition
In Brazil it isn’t the best (we have the oldest fleet), but outside of it is one of the best here in South America. Avianca and Azul are pretty good also.
Well, I disagree dude. JJ's fleet average age is 6 y.o. They have 7 brand new A359, the youngest 767 assembled and 10 773's about to be retrofited to offer more comfort and space for passangers. I save all my credit card points in Multiplus, because it's cheaper to claim tickets and LATAM offers more destinations, with fair prices.
I've always been a fan of you guys since the momebt I had the pleasyre to watch one. Must comment on meal service, LATAM has definitely refuced theur economy class food offerings. Again, your reviews are amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Latam means "I'm flying" or "I fly" in polish. Love the coincidence 😍😍
Latam means Latin America, and is for LAN (Chile) and TAM (Brasil). Looks, more coincidences!
I had no idea. Brilliant!
The two airlines merged, why it’s called that
I know
Its also a coincidence the initials of the 2 airlines LAN and TAM which merged are LATAM, which is also an abreviation form of Latin America.
So miss Chile which I absolutely love! Those Andes peaks are amazing, people are lovely, the scenery beautiful. Great trip report. Gracias Chile from Portugal 🇵🇹
Thank u 🇨🇱❤️🇵🇹
And that's how you travel back in time
Take off in evening, land in the morning, in the same day!
That's travelling back in time relative to you, to actually travel back in time, break into NASA's Headquarters and they're probably hiding a time machine in there.

YESSS FINALLY a new long-haul tripreport!

Yay 😁
This is an important flight path to discredit flat earth nonsense.
LATAM!

Absolutely amazing! Glad you had a very good time with our flag carrier. Hope you had an amazing time here in Santiago! Cheers from there

What a super random flight! 787s make so many routes possible these days.
that is some of the best looking food I have seen in economy class!
I saw this flight in the mornings entering by the Chilean central coast.
