    What a terrific topic! Often not discussed and overlooked. We are an entire person and that indeed shapes us. Our past experiences don’t have to define us, but is part of the equation. I learned so much about my tolerance through anxiety. Facing uncertainty isn’t easy and doesn’t happen overnight. But neither is the exhausting battle, so I will work on the former. Thank you for being a beacon. 🙏

      Wow. I love how you recognize what you've learned in this process. Thank you so much for sharing this.

      Yes, thank you for sharing your experiences with dealing with #anxiety, and in general, just being #anxious is tormenting at times. To be totally honest, they are all scary, and I would help anyone who has to deal with our situation. And you're right. It didn't happen overnight and can't be fixed overnight. We just need to keep working at it and do our best one step, day, or by breaking the day into hours and re-center yourself.
      I'm doing the best. I honestly can, but a lot of times I freeze up, get spacey like locked in place that I'm standing. Or the worst when the pit of my stomach gets so anxious it can cause me to throw up.
      Thank you for your inspirational words 🙏. It's something I need to keep reminding myself. I truly hope you continue to work on how well you've come so far! Best of wishes and vibes.

      @@Mikein203 Thank you for the kind message. You are on the right track, because you are here, and it will get better. Anxiety presented itself in many forms for me, everything from DP/DR, existential thoughts, panic attacks and the list, symptoms and sensations were VERY long. I am just so grateful to have found Drew, Josh Fletcher and Dare Response (is where I heard about Drew). If I had known about these types of resources two years ago, it would have helped me understand what was happening and how to properly respond - I didn't know if I was losing my marbles, or if this will be my life forever.

    Sir what to do after drunk...during hangover feel panic ....should I apply Claire week accept at that time also

      @TheAnxiousTruth  11 місяців тому

      Yes. Even then. Alcohol makes you feel different. Feeling different is a huge anxiety/panic trigger for many. But fighting it and trying to somehow change that feeling doesn't really work so you can use this approach after drinking too.

    Which Claire Weekes book did you read at the beginning and recommend. I’m trying to get it finally but there’s 4. Sorry I’m sure you say it somewhere but there’s a lot of content to listen through

      I read Hope and Help For Your Nerves. I also had Pass Through Panic, which is an audiobook. I did not read every book she wrote.

    Hi im struggling for last month with really high anxiety. My Dr has said I have the option of ssri but Don't know what to do. A part of anxiety is being indecisive! This is now giving me such rumination. Any thoughts??

    • @TheAnxiousTruth
      @TheAnxiousTruth  11 місяців тому +2

      I will never advise someone as to what to do with medication. That is a personal choice that I have no business being a part of. I do think that the fact that you recognize your indecisiveness and habit of ruminating is excellent. That insight means you're not hopeless here. xx

    Hi Drew. Kind of off topic but do you have any knowledge on TMS therapy for panic disorder?
    Thanks for all your work.

      I'll just relay the stories of many many members of this community that have openly said they wish they could get their money back after trying this. I've never seen anyone say that it made things worse, but I have literally never heard anyone say it changed anything at all.

    Hi Drew, another great episode. My son is still struggling with anxiety. I know you’re going to be able to possibly talk to him in February here in New York but I’m thinking he’s going to need help before then. Do you know of any therapist in the Syracuse, Fayetteville, Cicero area that treat anxiety disorders? It’s so hard to find someone that actually knows what they’re doing

    • @chaoswraith
      @chaoswraith 11 місяців тому +1

      Personally, when I felt like I couldn't wait, I signed up for BetterHelp, you are able to choose and talk to a therapist VERY fast, like a day or two later. It was absolutely worth it to me, might be worth for your son as well

    • @TheAnxiousTruth
      @TheAnxiousTruth  11 місяців тому +3

      Unfortunately I do not know of anyone specifically in that area. So sorry, and I do hope your son gets what he needs quickly. Always remember that being anxious is making him uncomfortable and putting him in a state of distress, but he is safe even when he's convinced that he's not. xx

    Anyone else see themselves as an overwhelmed warrior? 😂 Good topic to think about.

    • @TheAnxiousTruth
      @TheAnxiousTruth  11 місяців тому +3

      I think "student" is far more accurate than "warrior". Being a warrior in an un-winnable war will totally leaves you overwhelmed. But what if you're trying to fight or beat anxiety? What if instead you're learning to move through it without resistance like a swimmer learns to move through the water? THAT'S something to think about. ;-)

    • @Mikein203
      @Mikein203 11 місяців тому

      I am sorry but warrior doesn't come to mind when I'm starting to feel this kind of fear out of no where and that turns into myself getting anxious which if I don't immediately try and re-center myself I will fall into pieces.
      Those racing thoughts absolutely don't make me feel strong inside or in any way of a warrior mentality.
      Thank you for trying to understand though.
