You forgot. The person operating the streetcar is not called the driver. He's the Operator or Motorman. The PCC car you rode on to the end of the F Line at Castro & Market was purchased from N. J. Transit in Newark, New Jersey. It was painted in the D. C. Transit paint scheme from Washington, D. C. The ex-Newark cars have window cranks and openable back windows. The ex-Philadelphia PCC cars have latch windows and sealed back windows. I rode those cars many times in Newark and in Philadelphia years ago. In Philly, they were called trolleys. Philly calls their electric buses with the twin trolley poles on top trackless trolleys. MUNI calls them trolley coaches. MUNI calls their diesel buses motor coaches.
