Hugh Munro HA!!! 😂
You look good in blue jeans nick
@@stevensampson9462 thankyou!
Helk yeah
Omg the dude in the suit is an absolute beast. He is not so young, or skinny, and wearing a suit and he outruns a lot of younger, skinnier people in running clothes wow. He is awesome
If you are 64 you can run as fast as you were 19. So...
Rice no you can’t? How many 64 year olds have you seen running track at the Olympics?
Cameron Gray But they probably aren’t Olympian. Anyway, um. Since I got confronted you can fact check yourself I guess. You sound kind of angry so ima just head out-
Cameron Gray I also forgot to add this. I found it on a TedTalk, albeit I don’t know if it’s right.
@@rice1298 umm maybe but not my personal experience was a 17 min 5k now 22 min at 70 though it still feels like 17 lol
I feel like Sean got lost on his way to work and just ended up running a solid 7 minute mile in slacks.
He looked bewildered at the interview too.
The guy in the suit is a legend 😂
m.ua-cam.com/video/uZdv-TtiMkg/v-deo.html
You should try to get the fastest mile in a hazmat suit
Yes we need to make this happen
while wearing a mask and goggles
The fastest mile in a hotdog costume. I bet you even Joey Chestnut could beat him.
Walter White: ....RUN!
God the sound
The man that ran the mile with the suit didn’t even look fit or anything and he still ran a 7 minute mile with pants on!?!
Haha it literally looked like he was just dropping his kid off after work. I thought that little kid was his son, and he just spontaneously decided to run with his son.
faster than me and i'm younger. he has to be a former track athlete and/or runs consistently every fuckin day.
@@brockman562 it's surprisingly easy to run a 7 min mile. but yeah the guy very likely runs every day. I know a lot of middle to late middle aged men who run 8+miles a day averaging 7 to 8 min pace per mile. they don't go fast, but man they've got some great endurance!
Jason Olson yeah I know some older men who run a lot as well but this guy was overweight, I was surprised because I’ve never seen a man of that frame run a mile in 7:00 minutes, and with jeans on in 95 degree weather
@@Matt-ws7vb he didn't look overweight to me at all... looks like he runs pretty regularly.
Nick: posts video
Me playing CoD: guys I have to go
My friends: why?
Me: you wouldn’t get it.
Ha
I respect your priorities Carson!!
Well u could play and watch the same time just sit the phone next to your screen that's what I do
I didn't think everybody would actually show up in jeans😂
required attire! :D
How in the name of god did that old man run a 7 minute mile in a suit
my fastest mile is like 1 minute more and that's me trying super hard in proper running equipment
@@amytan3671 You can get it faster!
Doesn't look real. 7 minute mile is what a normal young dude in decent shape runs
@@DanielSong39 looks Can be deceiving, maybe that old timer was just light on his feet and could move fast
Wdym 7 minute Mile is easy.
That guy in the tux must have INSANE circulation for that mile time like omg.
when a 3:49 miler says he's going for a world record in a joke event
He'd be out kicking ass if there were any races to be had! FCUK this pandemic!!!
@@nicksymmonds it's definitely better than sitting around doing nothing
@@nicksymmonds ha!
Just checked Johnny's Instagram. He ran 4:06.25 to set the new world record.
Nick: "my trusty wranglers"
The wranglers: price-tag still hanging off them.
Those are Levi's lol that's what was funny
Yup, levis 🤣
“We got real runners”. That says it all.
I love the suit guy 😂😂 idk why but I’ve always imagined a track meet where everyone wears a tux and has to hold a briefcase while running
Call it the "rat race" 😆
The briefcase is the baton
Imagine just being at the track and an army of people show up wearing jeans.
I hate to be that type of guy, but please check out my UA-cam channel🙏
I was pleasantly surprised how many people showed up!!
😂
And seeing a man fly onto the track
7:02 in a suit, at his age is incredibly impressive... thank you for the content nick... I'm loving it
Well done to the guy in the suit (your a good runner)👏🏼👏🏼
That guy in the suit earned my like 👍
“Did u say 4:04?” 😂😂
Shaun is both the hero we wanted and the hero we needed
Me: tries to run a all downhill mile in best clothes to get a good time. Nick: Decides to run with baggy jeans
About 23 years ago I ran a competitive 5k race that started at 8 AM. As the gun was about to be fired to start the race, a cab pulled up, and a young man jumped out, still wearing his party clothes and dress shoes. He moved over to the checkin, got his number, and participated in the entire race, rather well as I remembered. The real amazing part was that the guy spent the night in jail for being drunk in public! What dedication!
Nick flying to the track was like the best part, that made me laugh
😂 it is like watching a running version of myth busters for the first half of the video when he is figuring out the best jeans.
love that show!!
Sean is an absolute legend! Very impressive time!
Running in jeans just looks wrong🤣
dude those guys split a 57-58 final 400m, that's crazy! really turned it on going from 71's to sub 60.
I run three miles on my treadmill while watching this… I always watch these because I know that they struggling even more then me! Y’all are fast runners
I’ve been waiting for this one
hope you liked it!!
@@nicksymmonds I am still waiting to see Nick go for the Backwards Mile record :)
Business Suit Guy!!
Love that your expanding your platform and introducing people to the sport of running good job Nick!!!
We get a fashion show and a new video! Happy Friday indeed!
aim to please!! :D
Me: trying to break a 6 minute mile. nick: trying to break 4:11 in jeans.
Also the way they are going to do my first cross country season with staggered start that is an f in the chat.
Bro I did my first waterfall start and took 3 kids down in beginning😂
nick: *rips pants*
*spongebob ripped pants song starts playing*
I love these videos! Looks like you are always having fun trying new stuff! 4:31 is quick 💨
Hey nick I hope you are staying well during these times, I love your channel !!🙏❤️
Oh im sooooo ready for the tuxedo mile
I love running and he just makes me love it more thank u so much
Dude. That guy was like 100 years old. Ran a 7min mile in a freaking suit. #MadRespect
I love your videos man, your not just another cocky fast guy, I can tell you enjoy people coming out and having fun
Ok now break 4:00 in the mile in Alphafly Next%s wearing blue jeans running downhill against your subscribers. The content we've all been waiting for.
7:02 in a suit for a middle age man in a suit!! That's unbelievable. The vast majority of people can't run a 7 minute mile even younger people not in a suit
Not gonna lie-I was pretty bloody impressed. I was never a competitive distance distance guy-I ran a 5:32 in high school when I was 17. Defo never tried it in a business suit. That dude looks like he’s close to 60. Major props!
I love your work Nick, I watch your videos all the time and it has helped me improve my running
I love your videos they are not long and boring but not short just long enough to keep me coming back. Keep up the great work.
not just a suit but also rocking some trail shoes no less..straight up legend haha !!
I old guy was probably just there at casually dropped a 7 min mile in worst clothes for running. He looks a bit out of shape but this guy is clearly a natural athlete!
Sean isn’t the runner we deserve, but he’s the runner we need
The 800 meter guy who finished first is Derek Holdsworth from Virginia. He attended high school at Lafayette and broke Seneca Lassiter’s school record. Great guy with an interesting path to college At Western Oregon University and he would have been national Champion if the indoor season did not get cancelled.
He's a huge talent!!
Fun time! Thanks for putting it on and for the Run Hub Northwest shoutout!!
Where’s spencer at?
Have you ever raced running backwards on your channel? I seem to remember a guy on our high school track team that broke 40 seconds on our 220 yd track back around 1973. I just looked it up and saw that a man named Aaron Yoder has the mile record of 5:54.25. That sounds pretty fast. And you can pass out RUN GUM to the winners. Great videos! Keep it up!!
I never even thought about it that my Rungum headband could be used as a mask. Thanks for the idea!!
Best running channel on UA-cam! Thank you for motivation!
I love this channel so much and it’s gotten me back into running so maybe I can run with you one day.
Great video. We have been looking for a clean substitute for the beer mile for the high school XC team. We settled on the "Egg Knog Mile" after the end of season, but this will be really fun for them.
Keep up the great content Nick.
Your channel is amazing nick🤦🏿♂️always puts a smile on my face
When I started running 4 years ago I didn't have any special gear to start running. I just wore a pair of loose, kind of stretchy blue jeans and a comfy pair of non-running shoes. In 100 degree weather. Although I finally splurged after a few years, running in jeans wasn't as bad as people think. I wouldn't do anything more than a half marathon in them, but anything less than that is fine.
I have been waiting for this video for some time unbelievable video nick
I’m loving the videos. Loved the blastoff bit! Keep up the great work!
1:47 for an 800 is amazing
Yeah, he's #1 in D2 for the 800. His name is Derek Holdsworth, he's a mad lad (I'm his teammate, albeit a thrower haha)
I was never a distance guy but hells ya that’s fast! Hard to believe that it was only 7 years ago that Nick was a World Championship silver medalist...
Graham Strouse I think you may have misunderstood something, the guy who had a 1:47 was one of the college students (which makes it more amazing). Nick Symmonds’ pr is 1:42.95
Karsten Collins that’s awesome
Your camera operator is the MVP for getting all that Goodwill footage. And love the editing
Favorite video to date! Great editing, music, and as always content! 👌
And here I was happy with my 7:33 mile! Old guy in a suit smoked my time. I'm rubbish. haha
7:33 is good!
That’s good man!! Then again I did get 7:15 and I’m 10
I'm at 10:43 so you're good. I've also basically just started though (well I started a year ago but I started running my entire runs recently--before I didn't think I had the endurance)
The average is about 10-12 minutes. I’d say you’re pretty good
The guy in the suit rocked!
They closed in like 57-58, that's insane 💯🙌
I love to see that people are starting to get back together
Great video and a legitimately good race there! Cheers Nick
Nick i am a huge fan and you inspired me to start running and I love it so thank you
I've been waiting for this vid nick lets go🏃⚡⚡⚡
Shawn is the real MVP! Running at that in age and in that attire! Just wow! Amazing video nick! Much love❤️🤗
Man I always rewatch your videos and Olympic ones too!! You just keep the great ones coming! Kudos!
you're my dose of LIFE, you always make me go out and run
Crazy to think these guys ran 4:30 mile in jeans, most people can't even break a 7 minute mile and here these guys are making it look easy
Love it, i cracked up laughing 😂😂 3:54
I want to somehow be in one of these one day. I'm not that great of a runner. You'd kick my ass. Also I live in NY, so Oregon is a stretch. But they always just seem so fun to be a part of!
7:37, Nick Symonds ran 800 meters in this time at the 2012 Olympic Games
7:02 is unbelievable while wearing a suit, nice video👍👊
This gives me throwbacks of high school😂 if you forget your practice clothes for X country then you still have to run with your jeans on. We had to do more than a mile though
Everyone finished great, the guy in the suit is fast. I wouldn't finished in 7 minutes.
3:47 This looks so ridiculous. I was bursting from laughter: D
In high school I once got home late from a choir performance... when faced with either missing Track practice or training in a tuxedo I chose the latter(dress shoes too). Hurdle workout lol
I love your vids and they motivate me to do my best in my running thanks👍👍👌😀😀
Great content. Love videos like this! Keep them coming!
This was a blast 🔥
You came here for the comment just like I did
What a good and entertaining video.🙂
The winner is such a beautiful runner. He did cut the corner at the end of the back straight on the last lap though so I think you can move yourself up a place!
I’m exited for the full tuxedo, and want to see the tuxedo ripp
Such a cool and fun video. Keep up the great work.
Start of the race 5:31
Shout out to ma boy Derek for taking the win 😎😎
I love how I’m just now seeing this Dan😂😂 Juco tactics baby
The editing at 1:44 to 1:59 is legendary
So entertaining love watching them in quarantine
I love watching your vids! Me and my friend likes to run a lot!
Just so entertaining. Great job Nick and suit guy!! College runners planned it out right.
no one in a race:
Nick: We have real runners?
Hi Nick,
We love your videos and the great associated themes - we’re across the pond in Oxford, England. Do you ever plan to do any events in England?
I will be tuning in to watch the tuxedo race between Nick and Sean.
damn good...shout out to Sean!
You deserve more subs your videos are so professional good editing
Beer mile next? I did a white claw beer mile on my channel. That was tough!
Also if you don't drink you can substitute for bubbly waters
