- The MBF-M1 M1 Astray is a mass-produced mobile suit of the Orb Union introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by Asagi Caldwell, Juri Wu Nien, Mayura Labatt
The mass production variant of the prototype P0 series developed at the Heliopolis colony, the M1 Astray was developed by Morgenroete for Orb Union's national defense force. Due to concerns over production costs, the M1 Astray omitted the prototypes' ability to equip optional parts and went through several downgrades, including reduced armored area, a reduction in its limbs' range of movement, and a simplified sensor.[3] Similar to the Alliance's GAT-01 Strike Dagger, the M1 Astray was installed with a Natural-use OS.
Like the prototypes, the M1 Astray utilized lightweight foaming metal as its armor, prioritizing mobility over durability. Its backpack was designed using the Earth Alliance's Aile Striker as a reference and functions as a flight unit, allowing the mobile suit to fly for a short period of time. This feature was meant for mid-range travelling, enabling the M1 Astray to quickly deploy within Orb Union without needing air transport. The M1 Astray's standard armament consisted of a beam rifle and a pair of beam sabers based on technology developed by the Alliance, a pair of head-mounted 75mm CIWS, and a shield with anti-beam coating. - Фільми й анімація

Real shame no M2 version existed with the original intent of the Prototypes. The astray modular system would have been a game changer for the operational capacity.

種死1話ではアビスを見てカガリが「ガンダム」と言ってたけど何を基準に見た目でガンダムかガンダムでないかを判別しているんだろうか。

MSVに宇宙用のＭ１Ａアストレイというのがいて
そっちはブルーフレームと同じ青いカラーリングになっている
一応、プラン上ではＭ２はあったらしい
ただ、コスト面でムラサメが正式採用されたとか
映画版までアストレイ三人娘が残ってたら、アメイジング・ルージュのなかで作業してたのかな。
それともレクイエム攻防戦に出てたのかな…。

I think the MBF-M1A M1Astray actually a Gundam-type.
The term "Gundam" in the Cosmic Era is mostly for Mobile Suits that have the GUNDAM Operating System, Phase-Shift Armor, and Gundam-style head.

@@trollinoakenshield9822 I disagree on that part. At least the Dom Trio were defeated by very powerful enemies, these three were defeated by grunts. And even then one of the Dom Trio survived to take revenge on those who killed her team.

自分は脇としてのオーブは好き。主役のフリーダムとかジャスティスよりね。特にムラサメ隊やアカツキ。ムウさんが乗ったアカツキが良かった。

短時間だった空戦能力が強化されたシュライク装備タイプがデスティニーで出たけど島嶼国のオーブなら空戦仕様と水中戦仕様、陸戦なら防御と遠距離に特化して上陸させないようにするのが最適だったかな。

M1 어스트레이는 오브 연합 수장국이 비밀리에 제작한 주력 모빌슈트로 정식 넘버링은 MBF-M1 M1이다.아니 왜 M1을 두번 붙이는거야 이렇게 되면 혼동될 우려가 있기 때문에 정상적으로는 MBF-M1 어스트레이 이렇게 적어 놓으면 된다.참 쉽죠?
사실 어스트레이 시리즈는 연합과 합작중이였던 GAT-X 시리즈를 개발할때 몰래몰래 기술을 빼돌려서 만든것이다.하지만 만들기는 했지만 문제는 OS였다.오브가 OS를 만들었지만 성능 미달로 아예 운용조차 힘들었고 정크 길드에 침투해도 그마저도 실패했고 하는수 없이 지나가는 아크엔젤을 입항해서 마류에게 거부할수 없는 제안을 하여 어렵사리 OS를 습득할수 있었다.거래 조건은 이렇다.
아스하:님아 기술력 주면 배 무상 수리해주면
마류:ㅇㅇ 무상 수리 좋아 기술 그쪽에게 줌
대충 이렇게 보면 된다.
아무튼 키라가 만든 OS는 내추럴 사양으로 최적화 시킨 덕분에 내추럴도 모빌슈트를 조종할수 있게 되었다.하지만 지구연합은 이미 GAT 기술 데이터만 얻었기 때문에 충분히 OS 개발은 뚝딱 만들수 있었다고 한다.
M1 어스트레이 조종사는 쥬리,아사기,마우라가 있지만 이 세사람은 테스트 조종사이다.테스트 조종사라서 그나마 서툴긴 하지만 오브 해방 작전에서 실전을 겪었으니 어느정도 전투 경험은 얻었긴 했지만 안타깝게도 이 세사람은 야킨두예 전투에서 모두 전사하고 만다.향년 나이는 아마 19세로 보인듯하며 정말 안타까운 전사한것이다..
결국 M1 어스트레이는 대부분 퇴역되었고 후속 기체인 MVF-M11C 무라사메로 전부 교체되었다.
