In a video where UA-camr Mina Aoyama collaborated with Seele's voice actor (Molly Zhang), it was revealed that Madeline Reiter, the voice behind Bronya, is an enigma even to her fellow voice actors. Considering the fact that nearly every VA in Hoyoverse games keeps getting attacked, it's understandable that she hides everything about herself.
Perhaps that's true, but if she doesn't care and doesn't engage with the drama, then it can be avoided.

In my personal opinion, hiding from social networks is a good thing because it helps us avoid drama and other problems, especially when there's a lot of drama happening on twitter right now

Seems to me that this is also her first time voice acting as well, so they chose her as Bronya, And I think she's doing a very good job on keeping her name out of the media, If I was the voice actor I would do the exact same, to keep yourself out of the media to avoid any drama, she's doing something right.
Or maybe she's just an introvert? In my opinion, not having information like this will make her job as a VA difficult because she will be less known to the media, but on the positive side, she can avoid all the drama.

I think she's doing a good job though, she wants to keep herself anonymous just to avoid anything that she does not want to encounter such as fans or even drama, she might be somewhat antisocial, but who knows.

She is new and gacha games tend to have rowdy fans who get mad easily and get triggered over anything and everything
So my guess is she stayed anonymous so she can still get the role and become known in the industry while avoiding all the fans and the drama and problems they bring with them

what is very unfortunate is that Japanese va don't do the same thing because they can't hide their identity because their contract is not only to become va but to become "idol" for their fans, Last year Ishikawa Yui received many death threats

@@mikazukitunapanggang Well Yui Ishikawa is prone to that due that she's literally everywhere, I don't think I seen some case of so many animes and medias using the same VA in almost all media since Norio Wakamoto back in the 90s. And female seiyuus is srs bsns in japanese community media.
This is probably one of the reasons why few people mention Bronya's VA, partly because she hides herself from the internet so no one knows anything about her, and also because no one knows about her, if Bronya has any problems, no one can curse her because no one knows who she is on social networks

It also doesn't help when voice actors only get a description of the character with limited context. Prop to the voice actors who voice act characters before game reveal.

Not surprising. A lot of voice actors are actually reclusive or prefer under an alias. The most prominent name of a reclusive VA I can think of is Janice Kawaye.
Actually, stage names are normal for actors, but the difference is that she doesn't have any photos or social media, which makes her very mysterious 🤔.

For a debut role she is bloody fantastic! Feels like fighting with a comrade when she says “lend me your strength” and “TO GUARD AND DEFEND, CRUSH THEM!” Genuinely hope to hear more work from her in other projects in the future.
I think this is not their debut. Keeping anonymous doesn't help their career. I think the VA just don't want to be associated with hoyo. So they use random name as Bronya VA and use their real/main name as their other work.

I was pretty sure Bronya and Silver Wolf had the same VA (like the JP dub) when I started playing as they sounded similar to me. The fact that no one knows Bronya's VA and you can't track her down leads me to conclude that they are likely the same person and the named billed for Bronya is just a pseudonym for, plot reasons. At one point the Japanese VA was denying she voiced both (which is a heck of a thing to deny since HI3 players are VERY familiar with the sound of Bronnie and APHO versions of Bronya which is what star rail takes their inspirations from) so hoyo at one point did not want us knowing there were 2 Bronyas in the game.
Assume they are hiding it, but why do Asta and Hook have the same English voice actor and they are not hiding it?
No Silver Wolf's VA is Melissa Fahn. I think only JP have both Bronya and Silver Wolf having the same seiyuu.
@@Darkos88 well It's kinda obvious hook and Asta aren't the same character and that is just a case of double casting. I think SW +Bronya having the same VA in seret would be along the lines of Hoyo denying Acheron was Mei for quite some time despite us knowing that was a lie from the get go.

I'm saying that it is possible that Fann is Bronyas VA as well and Reiter is her Pseudonym and that is why no one can find info about Reiter and why the VA community keeps saying that it's a "stage name" etc. It's a fairly common billing practice for TV and theater when you don't want to spoil the plot with the cast list.
Its useless to hide silverwolf and bronya is variant since they literally look alike with that iconic drill hairstyle, and Hanser (silverwolf CN VA) is actually planned to voice adult bronya too but she's having a hard times voicing older character that's why she drop the role.

I don't see a problem here. Just a person doing what they love.
You also have to consider that not everyone has a strong mental strength to withstand any insults or threats on a daily basis. This is probably for her own private sake as well.
And don't get started with the "this will hinder her career progression as a VA." Maybe also take into consideration that this is a side gig and not a long-term goal for the person. Probably has another main job in her life. Regardless, don't think of this as a wasted opportunity in this career for her. It's the VA's choice anyways.
Plus I don’t think it will effect her career to badly. She voiced a popular character in a popular gacha game. They at least know what she can do and her range. Frankly it’s kind of nice that she is a bit different: she doesn’t like showing her life publicly and she seems to be the type of girl that just does her job and moves on and doesn’t want to engage in drama

The Jarilo-VI and Xianzhou VAs were cast over three years ago (Craig Lee Thomas, Luocha's VA, said he had been waiting since 2021 to announce). That was long before the genAI wave, so it's definitely not AI.

Fun fact, even Bronya's CN VA (Except Bronya Rand) aka Hanser were still stay Anonymous from her debut. She even become the Singer of Cyber Angel, which is the Bronya Zaychik's song theme. She also commonly sing on honkai's stage orchesta but still a little know her identity.
And you know what? Same goes to the voice actor if Eva from Metal Gear Solid 3. All information we have about her, is here name. No social media, no facebook or anything just her name. And the name was her performance name and not her real one. No one know who she is until today

On the topic of mysterious voice actors, when I played the Penacony quest, the npc "Micah" had a very familiar sounding voice to me. Sounded like Aleks Le. Is there no information on the voice for this npc?
For me, I'm looking for the reverse. Zach Aguilar (VA of Aether from Genshin) mentioned during his latest Windtrace stream that he voiced an NPC in Star Rail, but he doesn't specifically know which one and I can't find traces of him being in it besides that.

Everyone is talking about how much hate Hoyo VAs get, and I’m just thinking about how much love the English HSR VAs get in their collab group get. I understand privacy being important, but I think it’s a little weird to paint the community as awful when it has spring boarded so many streaming careers in the last year. Just saying.

I'm an artist and I really wanna work like this, I've practiced a lot and got so much praise from my fellow peers at uni for my work. But even with the praise I recieved and the skills I've developed, I couldn't ever bring myself to get my presence out there on social media, especially with my current mental state. My dream is to just work quietly and enjoy doing it without feeling like someone out there online is watching my every move. It sounds dramatic but it genuinely scares me.
But when i come to think of it, the latter could be wrong as it's possible we will meet Bronya in future quests, contradicting the possibility of her VA wanting to open opportunities. The former is definitely the most likely possibility.
