Not a fan of the fate points being reset. Hopefully they don't keep that aspect for star rail.

I genuinely don’t understand the fuss about the fate points…it’ll be different characters each rerun, how would it function without restarting itself? Easier to get stellar jades too so just prep and save up so it won’t be a problem.

If I’m not wrong, the Fate point system is a piece of scrap taken from the weapon banner in genshin.
Considering that Lightcone banners in HSR don’t have a Fate point like system, then I think it’s probable that the new banner type doesn’t have one of those bad systems.
See, if the fate points carry over, then this instantly makes it so much better than Genshin's CW banner imo.
How about no fate points, like standard weapon banner or novice selector banner in WuWa - not like you need to squeeze the wallets with old characters when new ones sell that well.
The chronicle banner was such a massive cash grab in Genshin. Hopefully they make it better for Star rail.

Not exactly since Genshin had a problem with 5 stars in Mondstat so they had to use 3 standard banner
This banner will probably feature characters like Seele, Kafka, Silver wolf, Jing Yuan, Fu Xuan and Blade, Dan Heng IL, Luocha and Jing liu
Also its nice to note that alot of these characters are still used in the current meta and players actually need them

Other than fate point being reset, this sounds good. We are getting new characters on really quick pace. The old ones are easily getting left on sidelines. And let's be real... Who would have pulled Blade over someone like Firefly? The old characters definitely need their separate banner.

if the record is not moving to Pite, what is the point of using limited tickets knowing you waste some free pull to build Pite.

@@ahmadashraf3219 pity does not reset, but the fate thingy that guarantees the character you choose does, so basically for example you pull to 90 and get non desired character, you get the fate, pull 30 more and don't get the character you want, now for next chronicle banner, you'll have your pity at around 30 or so but no fate to guarantee the character you choose

It's greedy af and not f2p friendly at all, so unless they change it from what Genshin does it, it's not that nice to have (unless you whale and not care).

@@checknow1235163Simple: Fate Point reset. If you lose the 50/50 on the character you want, you can't just give up on the Banner and wait for the next one. You will have to face another 50/50 on the banner reset.
For example: you did 170 pulls (90 + 80), lost the 50/50 on hard-pity (90) and didn't get another 5🌟. It is impossible for you to get 10 more pulls during this banner. In the next banner, your actual pity remains (80), but you no longer have the guaranteed, you can lose the 50/50 *again.* This banner is made for you to spend money or save A LOT if you want to make sure you get the character. It's much more F2P to wait for a *real* character rerun, because at least if you lose the 50/50, you can save the guaranteed for another future character.

This system is not ftp friendly. The normal banners carry over with their pity, while with this youre forced to go hard pity and most of the time ftp players usually dont have enough for that. Even for me who gets the jade pass and sometimes 10 bucks pass, its still not enough. Old units get buffed with the powercreep of lightcones and gear. But the number increases for dmg/utility/tankynes only go up slighty wwith each version of the game. Units released during 1.0-1.3 already faced problems in 2.0. Now imagine how its going to look like for them in 4-5 months when were in 3.0. And then they gate them behind hard pity? xD
But the genshin version does save pity, just not the fate points
Just don't be a Gamba addict, there's no need to pull a new character every patch. I've skipped everyone from 1.6 to 2.1 and i'm still 0 cycling MoC 12. Just save pulls, build your characters and you will be able to hard pity like i did for E1S1 Robin (300 pulls spent+83 on Topaz banner for her E1... Lost to Yanqing...)
If hoyo wants us to pull on discounted bin heroes, then they need to give us discount to ether be no 50/50 (you pick character and you will get it), or pity needs to be lower.
The greediness of wanting to sell outdated characters for the same premium tag as newer ones is overwhelming.
First, this game is one year old. Second, you can clear most content with f2p teams with enough investment. Third they’re not forcing people to pull on the banners… I get that people like to call greedy companies greedy but this is not an example of it 😭

Hoyo is greedy, that's a fact. And plan to sell old units with same rates/prices as when they came out is greedy.
The only reason for players to pull older units is ether for collection, or they just like them. Because in reality these heroes already lost their value as combat units.
If you can't comprehend: a 10yo car will not cost as much as a brand new one and you can scream all you want, that old one can still drive just fine, nobody will buy it from you for the same price as new car.

As I’ve already stated hoyo is indeed greedy. But Greedy would be forcing people to pull on these banners rather than give players the incentive to pull for them. That’s not what they’re doing here, it’s real and only purpose is for people who want old units, plain and simple. Again they’ve done atrocious things, just look at genshin’s weapon banner lol. But If you could tell me an actual genuine reason as to why this niche banner is a scam I could see where you’re coming from, but right now all I hear coming from you is just “hoyo greedy”.

Having the standard 5-star characters part of the new banner doesn't really make sense since you can get them from the normal standard banner or lose from the 50/50 in the limited banner. But one thing I want is that the new wish banner is different from the chronicle Genshin banner. It had too many disappointments, such as the pity will not be carried over, the currency to pull is the same as the limited banner, and it's a 50/50 banner.

@@Aeterisit’s probably less of save up and more you forget they’re there cause you don’t need them for anything else, but one banner, where limited ones are already used for character and light cones that’s a lot. And if the new banner came out and used it too nobody would really use unless they desperately need someone/something on it

Most likely the characters which already had a rerun will appear in the new banner. So a character will have an initial rate up banner, a rerun banner and then goes straight to the new banner. It's kinda self sustaining
is it better to just make 3 banners, 1st for limi, 2nd for a rerun, 3rd for chronicled wish banner.
If they do that it would be awesome, but let's hope they improve the system they used in Genshin, and let the "fate points" carry over, bc if not I don't think a lot of people are gonna use that type of banner
I would love this because some people have to wait for characters that just got rerunned , and when you lose a 50/50 in the banner , I hope the fate point is just for you to claim the character so you’ don’t have to wish more , though it will most likely not happen

I doubt they'll put the stellaron hunters on it, they're insanely popular characters, especially Kafka, and it probably just wouldn't be worth it for hoyoverse
Except that it absolutely would be worth it? If the characters are popular, there is no reason for them not to give you the ability to pull for them from a business perspective, and these are characters that have had a rerun banner already, so they won't be able to put another any time soon really

Deadass they should do something like Arknights Kernel headhunting banners. Two random 5 stars, whatever random 4 stars. Then during one patch just allow players to choose who they want on the banner. Of course it’d need to tweak some things, just really hoping they at least give these new banners their own currency
As a day 1, i like seeing more things newer players need. Some units are leagues above others. Fu Xuan, Acheron, Firefly, and Ruan Mei being absolutely meta breakers. And will take your account to that next level. An experienced player like myself knows that units are what clear HSR. Unlese you have incredible skill and relics, you're gunna need an Acheron and Fu Xuan.

She’s a pretty recent character, I doubt they put her or her light cone on a banner like this
they need to rehaul this for hsr:
-special pass that you can get via the precious jewels shop specifically for this banner.
-you can use any passes whether it's limited or ordinary.
-fate points works differently, you gain fate points by losing the 50/50. With 2 fate points you can directly buy one of the featured ssr in the banner.
-lastly, you can pull every day for 1 time for free.
-also 1 pull for only 80 oneiric shards every day.
HSR is incredibly generous, but this is crazy lmao

Well. This probably a pipe dream, but i hope they use the selector system with 100% drop rate for this new banner system. They can increase the pity count to 100 and remove any concept of "soft pity". As long as it's a selector with 100% drop rate, i'm fine with it.

Ok they have to majorly improve it from the genshin’s chronical. After all only thing I say is worth pull in the chronical banner is the limited weapons but that only because the weapon banner sucks in genshin.
How would I improve it. Make it cost the same as the standard banner reason behind this. Star rails actually have a way to get standard wish that not characters related. Second reason it is easier to get limited banner wish the it is standard banner wishes. (Note this math is assuming you spend the your jades on the limited wishes only and have no character to level up and no event) with in 2 weeks of Star rails you can get 8 limited wish and 3 standard banner wish. Reason number 3. There a point with standard wishes you are just pulling on it for undying starlight or lcs

Acheron and boothill are fairly new so they won't get a rerun anytime sooner. The old characters refer to Jingyuan, Seele etc

Like if you don't have the perfect elements for farming certain bosses etc you can just use Silverwolf and implant the weakness then now whichever character you want to play becomes viable where it wasn't before. Plus her defense shred is pretty thicc so it doesn't hurt

I never get why HSR doesn't just add older limited characters & limited lightcones to the standard pool & just have a banner for standard characters & their personal lightcone on a regular rotation.
That's what Reverse 1999 does & it feels pretty darn refreshing to lose a 50/50 to an old limited character you either skipped & wanted or wanted more dupes for.
Dont let them mess this up cause im pulling with 400 pulls for an old character to e6 s5 and they are on e3 s3. Dont fuck this up hoyo.

1.Fate point doesn’t carry over
2.Only lasted for first half of the patch
3.Doesn’t include on every patch
4.Forces players to use limited fates instead of standard fates

I know the fate point system is bad, but the other banner will still not reset right. So we are complaining on a option they will add that indeed bad but they arent removing anyting. In what way this is worse than what already there if they keep what already here...
The problem is if you’re f2p and the character you want is a rerun character. You will forever be in 50/50 if you pull without enough gems to guarantee pity twice over.

I be honest I don't really like that banner, I mean the idea is good but the way they implement was bad, reset the pity when banner change was such a no no for me the I literally never pull on there
First of all, its nearly impossible now that hsr will copy genshins garbage systems....theyre already doing great, you can have higher expectation rather than sayin "like genshin"
