Oh no haha! But thank you for taking a look, I love your channel so it means a lot! Yes, the illustrations are mine, still getting used to animation but hopefully it breaks things up a bit
That's great! I'm glad you found this helpful, and I hope you find a good wine to try. If you're in Tokyo, this little wine bar specialises in Japanese wines: goo.gl/maps/jmUfQj3ZAYeabSfX7 This one in Hibiya also specialises in Japanese wine, but only made by the Sapporo brewing co.: goo.gl/maps/i9RQFHryo2JHmW9r8
Since Japan grows delicious grapes, I would imagine there is a lot of potential for wine growing. I only tried one wine in Japan, a red in Nagano and I found it too acidic for my taste. The growing region makes a huge difference to the taste. I tried a Gewürztraminer from Germany and one from Tasmania. I could tell that they were made from the same grape variety but the taste was very different. The German wine was very sweet and the Tasmanian wine was very crisp.
That's a very interesting thought! I'm not sure, but I hope that someone does try if they haven't already, given that the Japanese varieties are just combinations of existing overseas varieties
Not to be critical, but curious: How come you don't have a real corkscrew . . . and why are you drinking wine from a crummy brandy snifter??? And no mention of Koshu???
excellent video cassandra! thanks!
Thank you, I'm so glad you think so!
Found your channel on Reddit (your post got marked a spam on a sub I moderate), your videos are fantastic! Do you do the illustrations yourself?

Thank you Cassandra. Great info. We will definitely be trying some Japanese wine and maybe bring some home with us.

I like your description of flavors on the wine. I'm a red fan myself. ☺️ Hopefully I get to try it out soon.
Thank you! I'm glad I got the flavours across. If you visit Japan you should definitely try some Japanese wine at some point!

I wonder if there's any breeding programs to include American varieties that are well suited to humidity and rain, like Frontenac.
