How much time did you put into all the CG art for this video? It's incredibly impressive!!! Absolutely stellar work Sir! But I never noticed that Sonic 1 had a ray traced CG look, Sega had a bit of an obsession with that look for a while, shame they didn't do more with it, as it's a severely underused style.

This is great! The visuals are really great but even more so there's stuff in here I never knew, which I love. I thought I'd learned as much as I could about the development of these classics but here I am, still learning new stuff! Fantastic work. Whole video came together very well, kept my attention the whole time, and was truly a learning experience. Keep it up.

Yes, another Splash Wave video. I can't say enough how much these videos are of the best quality. Really good video. In fact, I learned something new in this! I had no idea Sonic 2 originally had time travel planned and I'm a huge nerd when it comes to stuff like that. You need more subs for sure.

Sonic 2 is my favorite Sonic game and this documentary is fantastic! Your editing is amazing and this entire video was very in depth. Sonic 2 really does have an interesting development history. This is a top notch video and I'm looking forward to future content!
Sonic 2 honestly is overrated and a bit rough around the edges. Time Constraints in its development led to STI and Sonic Team having to cut corners. It was ambitious, and is still a solid title, but TBH, the game was released 85% Complete. Not 100%.
I wish more people could make content like this channel. I see you guys that work on these videos really care about what you're making. This is channel that needs more people talking about it!

Criminally underrated channel given the production quality and research put into these videos. I was amazed to see the video at only 35k views, and the channel at 25k.
No other gaming channel has this combination of in depth, concise information and stunning visuals. Every time I watch one of your videos, I'm blown away by the quality!
Thank you for making this video! This brought back so many memories for me. I was waiting in the cold November air for my copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I was not disappointed and my friends were absolutely envious. I might have been a huge Sega fanboy, I had (still do) both the Sega Genesis (in '89) and the Snes (in '91). I remember getting Sonic the Hedgehog and an Snes in '91 and having a 16-bit shootout at my house. My friends and I actually gave the games review scores from 1-10 in each area and adding them up for a winner takes all finally (we are doing this again this September when the Sega Genesis mini comes out against the Snes Classic, and Neo Geo Mini for good measure). The Genesis won but barely and brings me to my point.... When Segs brought their A game, Nintendo was forced to do so in kind. We as gamers won the console war by having some amazing games that too this day stand the test if time.
You absolutely nailed this video! Mainstream TV levels of production quality, loads of research and sources to ensure quality information, and great concept artwork to soak into our eyeballs! The Hidden Palace Zone eventually became a full part of Sonic 2 in the mobile port. The infamous pit in Mystic Cave Zone became an alternate path that leads to HP Zone.
