If you think taking her to movies, buying her food and dinner is just enough for a good relationship then everyone that dates would end up marrying and live happily ever after till they die. You've watched a wrong series if you think Jane's just a friend for her. He's her soul mate. They both complete each other. Lisbon is not a social person...in a way Jane and Lisbon are similar. Both are broken in their own way. They understood each other like no one does....Jane knows what Lisbon likes/loves. Pike was a nice guy but he was doing what a normal BF does while dating? Haven't seen anything done special from him to Lisbon. Jane is not a normal BF...he's a tragic character who forgotten how to love and live normally. He needs Lisbon to live again. So you can't expect him to behave like a normal BF. Lisbon has several walls after her parents death...it's Jane and his behaviour that broke all those walls and allowed her to open herself again. She started opening up only in s7..showing that she never opened up with Pike. Pike was also similar to her...in a way polar opp. to Jane. Hence she was attracted to him bcoz she was tired of Jane's antics but as it wore on she realized she needs Jane. Jane makes her life interesting, fun but it comes with the price and she was ready to take that on. I must look like stalking your comments but come on. I was watching all TM videos again and your opinion varies from video to video. Hope this helps to understand Jane and Lisbon from a different view point.
