You get trans women who look and act like men but get pissy the moment a stranger who doesnt know them uses a male pronoun because they look like a man.
Alot of the time it's less about what people see you as but more about feeling comfortable in your own body. Most people have different priorities when it comes to gender transitioning. If you accidentally missgender a person with gender dysphoria who looks and sounds like a man when they identify as a woman the best action would be to apologize and be respectful. If some one goes bat shit insane then feel free to tell 'em to fuck off for being outlandish.
You have absolutely no idea how much practice it takes to get your voice to always be higher. once you've gone through puberty and your voice gets deep the only way to speak without a deep voice is to practice like hell til you've got the skill speaking in your new default voice that a voice actor would have when acting

The controversy is less about the fact that the individual on question is transgender now and more about the fact that they do not speedrun whatsoever.
Narcissa used to be known as Cosmo while they still did speedruns, was a WR holder for Ocarina of Time, and was really respected for that achievement. Nowadays, as Narcissa, their streaming has nothing to with speedrunning and their personality is nothing like what people came to recognize them by.

Dam. I was thinking about getting into speed running but this comment section showed me otherwise. It’s really a shame - I thought it could be a cool community but the fact that there’s people who call those with different gender identity’s than theirs “mentally ill” is appalling. The APA, The World Health Organization, The National Health Service - have all recognized transgender and gender fluid identities as legitimate psychological and physiological processes and NOT a mental disorder. The WHO literally removed the “diagnosis” from The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. There is loads of evidence out there to show that gender dysphoria has nothing to do with “illness” (implying an inherent negativity towards a neurological framework) and is far from strict pathological disturbance; but far more complicated than one may traditionally understand. For fucks sake, just Googling the word transgender will literally show you statements from various peer reviewed scientific and government sources that disagree with proposal of gender fluidity or transgender identity being a mental illness. Not to mention: WHY DO YOU FUCKING CARE? Just respect a fucking pronoun, it’s literally one word that comes out of your mouth or something you type out in 3 seconds that means the world to people who do identify this way. Why take the extra 3 seconds to be a piece of shit when you can be a considerate human being? Even if you don’t agree with it, why can’t you respect them as a person? I honestly don’t even know why I wrote this out it’s not like anyone who holds these positions is gonna read this let alone care about it.
