This is a very old song, and It's been a long time since I've last listened to it, but everytime i hear this song it hits me straight in the kokoro and just brings me to feels!

My guess is that Len lost Rin in an accident and dedicated his life to build and try to start anew with his now robotic sister and when he passed she found her past and gained her Kokoro and sang her heart out in gratitude to her brother until she too passed and was reunited with Len.
Considering Len is some how her "father" here and in every PV they are always the same age and are either Lovers or just twins i would also say this isnt the PV. The story is pretty much as the lyrics go. A lonely scientist created a robot to help not feel so alone but he knew a normal machine wouldn't be much different from just normal.tech so he decided to try and make her as real and human as possible by making a heart and allowing her to have emotions. Sadly he ends up falling due to either old age or simply a illness trying his best to create something that was extremely difficult to replicate IE human emotion. Although the many years she spent with him she never fly understood who he was or how important the time she spent with him was and so many many years pass on until she finally rediscovers the Heart program that he was making. Unfished she decided to go with it anyways to try and figure out everything and it did what it was intended to do. It gave her a "heart" and allowed her to feel emotions to understand. But since it was still never finished plus with all the emotions of 100 years suddenly coming all at once at her with how much she really loved her Father and how much it hurts he is gone it quickly overloaded her cirects and so in her final moments she sings him one final song before shutting down completely basically joining him in the afterlife.

No worries Len always dies in songs but this is not based on servant of evil because the story is about a lonely scientist who created a robot but the robot does not have a heart until the scientist died and rin sang until she passed away because the kokoro is to big that she stopped working and so she is reunited with Len (the scientist)
