I know that's what hurts me about dark woods circus
I heard long time ago, they really have a circus like this, long time when there too many children and they kidnapped them, cut their feet and dk many things, then make them do fun things for visitors to see.
There was a circus like that a long time ago. The children were indeed kidnapped, and then deformed and tortured in many ways, and the 'master' would beat them to entertain sick-minded people who think it's fun. If the children did something against the rules, they'd get acid thrown in their face, which is where the 'face rotting' comes into place. I don't know about much else, but this is what I've heard.

This actually happened during the Edo era in Japan. Most of this is theory, but children were severed and sewn back together. They also (as mentioned) had acid thrown into their faces, making them deformed.
seriously?! I though the story was fucked up enough but to find out that people IRL did this to people just made it WAY MORE fucked up!
the flowers in the video represent rotting skin and the fruit represent loss of virginity from what i remember...

I feel horrible for those kids, mainly since it's implied that they weren't born like that, but rather kidnapped by the ringmaster and deformed.

From my gathering, the children were all gathered in some kind of facility where they were turned into these 'things'. Kaito's brain was replaced with that of a dog and the twins were merged. Miku has odd legs (idk what they are yet) If they act up or try to escape, they'll have acid thrown at their face, the flowers symbolizing acid.

Its the ringmaster. At the end you see him take the little girl that was wandering around, like he did with Miku, Len and Rin, and the others a long time ago.

second of all if they're not identical then that would be a genetic impossibility
They were sewn together, they weren't born like that. But you are correct, if they were born like that they would have to be identical.
I mean to be sewn together their blood type and genetic coding would have to be extremely similar to one another in order to keep their bodies from seeing the foreign cells from each other’s bodies as invaders and essentially killing each other. The ringmaster probably wouldn’t know they were twins though, he could guess but he didn’t know
@@bornvolcano The ringmaster likely didn't care whether or not the twins were actually twins- since he kidnapped them he likely worked under the system that if he failed any experiments he could try again w new abductees. Plus Rin and Len would have the same blood type im pretty sure they just are different genders so it's impossible but close enough to make it 'realistic'

So we all know this is based off of a real circus. Some people, including myself, find similarities in this and Black Butler book of circus. There is a key difference between this song and Black Butler Book of Circus. In this song and what happened in actuality they weren’t born like that. They were kidnapped and were deformed by their captors. Where as in Black Butler Book of Circus they were born with deformities and were then given prosthetics.

I think I can interpret this story:
The dark woods circus is a strange circus found in a forest outside of the city. It was built by the tall humanoid cat-like entity known as the ringmaster (or chairman). He lures kids to his circus where he captures them, deforms them, and forces them to perform there. Flowers will grow on their bodies if they try to escape or defy his orders, which can worsen their suffering. The first of his victims are vocaloids miku, Len, rin, kaito, Haku, neru, and Toto. Miku became a deformed diva, with her legs replaced with that of a goat’s, Len and rin are fused together, kaito becomes a savage cannibal, haku and neru become tall performers, and toto becomes a clown who later hangs herself as she couldn’t handle her suffering. That woman in the red dress looks like meiko, but it is not. It’s the ringmaster disguised as a human. Len and rin are also tasked with passing out flyers to lure other kids to the circus. Meiko receives a flyer from them and is lured there, where she discovers its dark secret. The ringmaster captures her, but he doesn’t deform her. He instead just brainwashes her and tasks her with Len and rin’s job of passing out flyers. Luka will later follow in the song Circus Monster, which acts as a little spin-off of this story in which luka is eventually lured to the dark woods circus and turned into a devil-like creature and, like miku, is forced to perform as a diva.
If you want my advice (I’m just saying this for fun): No matter how tempting it is, stay away from that circus!
Euughh it annoys me I haven't found this more earlier, but this is truly heart breaking that this is based off a true story..
If you could do an English version of "Gekkou to Kuro" I'd be so happy! (It's supposed to be somewhat like an explanation to why Kaito is the "Blue beast")

Okay I stumbled across a South Park version of this and I was wondering...what exactly is the story of this. I’m pretty sure I get it but I highly doubt it. If someone could fill me in I'd appreciate it a lot.
I know this is old but it's about children who were kidnapped by the ringmaster and made so that their bodies were deformed. This is also supposedly based a a true event.
