I know others who would say that too. Know the phrase "there is always someone better?" Well it applies to being nice. Compared to other stars, yeah Keanu seems amazing, but compared to many unsung heroes, Keanu is just an ordinary guy and that is how he prefers to see himself.
Like keanu may give generous, but not to an extent it effects his lifestyle, which he likes to keep simple. So yeah, you might get away with calling him a nice guy, but the nicest? That's ridiculous. Not only is it entering himself into a comparison game of fame which we all know he would rather avoid, but he probably knows a lot nicer people. Like a bus driver who pulls over to give a homeless man his own pair of shoes. Or that same homeless person who might have given what little they begged for to someone else in need. Or the countless people out there that commit their entire being to making the lives of others better. The bar is really low when it comes to big stars in the entertainment world and what should be "ordinary" appears extraordinarily. And unfortunately we have let these low standard stars be our examples, but we were not meant to worship them to begin with, and Keanu gets that. He shouldnt be elevated any more than any other proud giving human being just because he is a famous actor.
The rich are not the ones to look to for inspiration, maybe the people keanu considers to be nicer than himself might, but we must never worship people (including ourselves)

Being honest means that you are not fooling yourself and others, it means that an honest person is not trying to make false impressions on others, they are not victims of their own fantasies so they are not fooling or lying to others or to themselves and that gives them the hability to spot lies, fakers or pretentious liers. one has to be honest and not produce fake appearens in order to spot a lier, otherwise you will immediately consume the lie.
looking directly to the eyes usually means that they are trying to sell u something, that is a basic rules of televisión and news reporters, they can sell to you any bullshit and keep being respected because they have years and experience selling lies. and that is why an honest person have a hard time making eye contact, because it's painful to him. you all have felt it, that unpleasant sensation when someone is maintaining eye contact with you, in fact honest people only look to the eyes to see of the other is lying or not.

@Erik Lerström I agree of course from his perspective. I'm sure that's how he feels. Given that fact, I imagined many people just finding Keanu's refusal to acknowledge the statement as a more endearing aspect to his character.

Another thing about genuine nice guys is they refuse acknowledgement of what they feel is standard decent human behaviour, they refuse to be put on pedestals for being decent humans and it's lovely to witness. Humility is everything, it's the clearest sign of an indomitable human, one who refuses to capitulate to capitalism's demand we see each other as not human. Keanu values humanity.

I met him(kind of) maybe 5-6 years back. I was doing delivery’s on a bike and was side swiped by a car and he just happened to be walking by. Him and a young woman are the only ones that ran up and helped me out.
