It's the lack of catalogue management and batch editing that keeps me from moving to Affinity. I rarely use the built in presents, very few of them are close to what I want, but the ability to make my own is appreciated.
@@JeffGresham yup. i cant remember how much and what features but some months ago i watched some videos about it. probably nothing close to lightroom features, but its something.
I used Affinity Photo because it's a good deal. Lightroom is just too expensive for me, and the prices have just gone up again. I'm just not using it enough to justify the pricetag.
I like the idea of darktable but I just can't wrap my head around setting it up so my images don't look all dark and muddy. I've watched a bunch of tutorials but none of them stick. 😢
Thanks a lot for this comparison.. you focused on the exact differences that mattered the most to me :D
@@KnightOwlSC very welcome i hope i was able to help. Thank you for watching.

The copyright of AI might become a major issue and images get an AI gloom over it, with lightroom, they all get the same.
@@CarolusChess very true
Have you tried Dartable yet?
Darktable, yes. another really good app for Editing. darktable is 3rd in line for me right now, LR, then Affinity, then Darktable.

I stick to Affinity2. I just like to make my photo's in a personal style.
@J-i1x nothing wrong with that at all
Adobe Bridge is free and combined with Affinity it is Affinity for us.
not a bad choice
Why do you record in very high frame rate ? ^^’
@@euphoriantraveller8651 i record in 30 fps thats not very high at all.
@@JeffGresham oh, I thought you were recording in 60 fps at least. Could notice with how your mouth s moving.

I'm gonna avoid Adobe since they trapped me into that BS 12 month contract

This is exactly why I want to leave Lightroom. I'm nervous but excited for affinity
