Thanx for the Video. If I may ask, could one also add the Focuser to the Fine Tune/Gold Knob, by removing that one? Would that make the Focuser even smother/better? Many thanx.
Good question. The ZWO focuser is already geared down, so placing it on the fine focus knob is not necessary. They specifically designed it to go on the course knob. It would probably work o the fine, but I have not tested it.
I have the svbony 503 80ed. Thinking about getting that ZWO eaf for mine as well. My question is, what did you do with the tension screw? Did you reuse it or is it not needed?
Hi, after removing the tension screw, how did you determine which of the other screws to remove on the focuser to enable you to attach the mounting bracket? i.e. there are three on the coarse focuser side. The Svbony website recommends not touching any of them.
We have to remove 2 to attach the bracket, but we essentially put them back into the same holes when the bracket is installed. That will ensure that the focuser is securely mounted as well as the motor for the electronic focuser. I think this is why they are saying not to touch them.

Great video! What were your step size and backlash settings?
Step size is 2000. I'll have to fire up the AsiAir tonight and get the backlash settings.
Oh wait, you meant the focusuer. I'll have to look it up.
Step size 30, backlash 0

I just removed it. It's no longer needed since the gear motor holds it tight.
@@MyEngineeringProjects OK. Thank you very much. I'm just worried about doing any damage to my telescope. Lol. Thanks again.

@@MyEngineeringProjects thank you, that makes perfect sense.
