What’s happening in this Mean Girls movie clip?
Regina George (Rachel McAdams) distributes copies of the burn book in the school and creates chaos among the students. Meanwhile, Cady (Lindsay Lohan) and The Plastics are trying to explain in the director’s office the reason why they are not in the book.

What’s the movie Mean Girls about?
Raised in the African bush country by her zoologist parents, Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) thinks she knows about "survival of the fittest." But the law of the jungle takes on a whole new meaning when the home-schooled 15-year-old enters public high school for the first time and falls prey to the psychological warfare and unwritten social rules that teenage girls face today.
Invited to hang out with the most exclusive clique of the school “The Plastics”, she will fall in love with the leader’s Regina George (Rachel McAdams) ex boyfriend Aaron Samuels. Engaging in a tricky double dealing, Cady will progressively become like the rest of the group and lose herself in the process.

The irony is that spreading pages from the Burn Book around school entirely cancels out Regina's revenge plan on the Plastics because 1) the Plastics were at the principal's office while the pages were being spread, thus proving their innocence and 2) it created a chain of events that led to Regina being humiliated for everything she had done. She was better off just letting them get in trouble without starting the riot

The pusher part still holds Cady responsible tho, so they might think someone else fuelled the trouble they're in but it doesn't make them innocent for what's written in the book
Well, that’s the point isn’t it? Her anger and rage let to her own undoing as a figure of power. This is why at the end she could finally find a way to express her rage in a positive way through sports

Why didn’t the school just make Cady and The Plastics write out something then compare their writing to the writing in the burn book? Then bingo, Regina would have been caught out.
I’m pretty sure that if this was real life, Regina would not be arrested, but would receive a court summons, and would be facing criminal charges for hate crimes and breaching the peace due to the burn book. Her sentence would probably be a school expulsion.

Although Regina George is An Absolute Bully, can we all appreciate how badass this moment actually is? I mean sure it’s wrong, but think about it. Take 1:45 for example, how she watches as the Chaos unfolds, seeming happy and comfortable with it, where as all the boys aren’t in the fight, Because none are in the book. (Except Damien if you count the note “Too Gay to function”) I mean, this is like those villain moments where the villain takes down the superhero’s reputation, turning the whole world against them. Except this time, Regina, the villain, Is bringing not only the remaining plastics down with her, but every girl in the school down with her too.

I applaud the compromise of the majority of the extras during the fight scene, others just didn't know what they were doing. Ex 1:48- 1:51 and 2:28- 2:34
When you have something like this, you make sure no one gets hurt. So you have the stunt people do the hard fighting, like the scene with the girls falling down the stairs, and the others just faking it. I worked on the famous brawl that ends The Dark Knight Rises and that's how we handled it so nobody would get hurt.
