As someone who's been playing WT since it only had the air trees many years ago, its my opinion that the maps are the biggest more glaring issue in ground forces. If you think this is bad, wait til you hit top tier where a vast majority of MBT's are extremely mobile and you have packs of T-80's or Leopard 2's watching both spawns, it makes for some really fun skill based gameplay as you could imagine... I think instead of having 2 designated spawn points you should be able to choose anywhere along the map border on the side your team spawns at but Gaijin refuses to make changes to core game modes even though its really what the game needs right now.
They don't see it as a problem, since your opponents could have sent someone around the north side of the map to counter you. Also this looks like the bigger version of Poland I have seen in ages. It's glorius. I just wish I'd get to play on it too :/
This version of poland is the default in top tier. You can imagine how glaring that issue becomes there. When you have light tanks going 100kmh and ending up behind your spawn with 5 second reloads.
@@Orodreth888 No, its not about that. Its about the fact that they don't care. Hundreds of great suggestions have been made to fix it, but they blatantly ignore it.
Most maps in this game have problems with positions that just allow you to target spawn. This small version of poland here is probably the first I noticed it on, but the large version also has the ability to flank spawns really hard. Maginot Line also has this problem. Alaska you can actually be inside the south spawns before the spawn radar kicks in. Mozdok is quite literally a spawn campers dream, as one side can target spawn from the C point. It's one of the most hated maps for a reason. Normandy, before they changed it, also had the ability to flank spawn and shoot people in the back. While sitting atop a large hill in the back corner. Not to mention being able to shoot spawn from the church capture point that used to be there. You can still go the the back corner though, but I think they removed the hill. Spaceport you can actually sit between the spawns and have a field day going between them. Basically any map that is an open field and/or spawns have a lot of room around them (like you see here on poland) suffer from these types of spawn camping problems. The spawn radar area is just too small to cover the large area a spawn camper/flanker can sit in. Spawn camping is already very broken sometimes, but positions like these do somehow make it more broken. Only real counter is someone seeing you before you get there and bonking you before you get there, especially when you consider most of these positions do have fairly good cover for the spawn camper/flanker.
Someone proposed a gridzone area in red color for each team side which gives you a counter of 5-15 seconds to get out of before you are destroyed/dead.
The simple answer is that Gaijin doesn't care. Unless if they get review bombed again to actually give a f*ck about their map design, it wont change. Ardennes has a similar issue. You can literally drive to the sides of the spawn and destroy people that have no way of countering you 5 seconds into spawning. It is so immersion breaking aswell and just boring af. I won't bother spawning in if I know that there is a bunch of people just waiting, I just leave the game and wait the lock out. The thing is that it doesn't take a lot of effort to move the spawns to the corners or edges of the map. Or hell, they should just spawn you outside of the map and you can choose where you enter it. Some strategy games do that really well. In which, when you order vehicles to the field they spawn on the roads outside of the map and then enter the battlefield from your side. They can also add assets and systems (return to battlefield or boom, etc.) to protect spawn routes more and make it impossible to spawn camp. But then again. Gaijin won't change it unless there is enough backlash, which is so damn sad. They really only want todo the bare minimum as always.

@XYVTN Indeed. Balancing such problems has never been a one of their strengths.
