Do not choose to live in large cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Munich or Koln. There are lot of smaller cities which are cheap and you can easily afford accommodation available. Jena, Halle, Chemnitz, Dresden, Magdeburg etc which are cheap and easy to find places. Getting city registration and work visa is easy. Interviews are mostly online and you need to travel only final stages of interviews. I suggest to stay in hostel may be 4 bedded one for 15 on your arrival. Once you get used to the places, u can find accommodations with city registration.

Hi, my advice to go for smaller ciies is owing to less cost of living + less time to get appointment with Ausländerbehorde for JSV to work visa convesrion

Hello... I have a query regarding the Booking date... How to decide the accommodation date .. for example if the appointment date is on 1 st May 2023... then of what dates we have to show the booking of.. since we don't know A - whether we will get the VISA and B - If we do.. for what 6 months period it has been issues... because same goes for Insurance also.. for period we need to take the insurance.... If you could please help with this.
At the appointment date, You need to mention your plan for JSV, in a Cover Letter.

In above letter, you need to mention some TENTATIVE date of travel (it may be 2-5 months after interview date)
So you need to book accomodation for these tentative dates.
As booking accomodation dont cost anything, It should'nt be any problem for you.

I am currently on JSV in Frankfurt and i am not able to get a stay for anmeldung. All owners are asking for long term stay with Job contract. In such a case how can i get the city registration and open a bank account
This is a typical problem in big cities. I suggest try somewhere in outskirts or NebenStadt (searby small towns) like Mainz etc.

some mention that 1 month accomodation booking is enough for 6 months JSV.
Some mention strictly to book for planned duration of stay
ie.e if accomodation booked for 4 months, then JSV will also b granted for 4 months

Can you confirm one thing, Is blocked account mandatory for candidates who is coming on JSV, I was informed it's not compulsory, instead we can show sufficient funds in our savings account is enough. Does it work?? And JSV candidates allow to do part times?
In case if Visa officer is not completely convinced with your financial proofs, he may advise you to make a blocked account

For this, person already staying in Germany Need to contact Rathaus / Ausländerbehörde of the city.
There is no single system for the same. It depends on city / state rules.

This demo video of booking reservation scenario seems like you are booking with known definitive dates. since i am applying i do not know when is the right month to book since the outcome of visa takes 8 to 12 week probably based on demand .would like to know .how to include this .should i take 12 weeks as buffer and book reservation .while applying for jobseeker visa ,since need to provide proofs as per the visa document check list
Hotel Booking is always done with tentative dates in mind.
You need to plan your next 6 - 9 months and accordingly book accommodation.
Further, it is done only to show Visa Officer that you have atleast some option to stay while in Germany.

In this video, I have mentioned exactly the same thing that you are asking, i.e. how to find accomodation for JSV
BTW, when, you are on JSV, there is very little chances of you getting a ,,Genuine" appartment. If someone is offering, there is a huge probability that something is fischy.

1. Is it okay if I search for a job while looking for an accommodation at the same time? But I haven't got any Wohngeberbestätigung required for the anmeldung, although i have booked anmeldung appointments in my friend's town.

1. Its Ok, but you must, as per German rule do Anmeldung asap. Also, with out Anmeldung, you will not be able to Open Bank Account, or even start a Job

Hi, If you have decided to go for staying with a friend / close know or family member, than, that person in Germany need to obtain a document called ,,verpflichtungserklärung"
Procedure to obtain this document depends on the laid down procedure of that German State.
I suggest, tell your friend to obtain this document, You will then be good to go

You are still young as per German Standards. You got 16 more years to work.
There is no such Age concern, however you should b able to convince JSV officials with a strong ground, why you plan to switch to Germany.

BTW, for JSV, candidate should Not think about Visa Extension. Its very rare, and in most cases not permitted

Hi, This is not the best option. You can certainly live there for a short time, but I dont think Visa officer will happily accept this option, especially when proposed officially over paper.

2.If i get my visa confirmation by August/September then can I keep my travel dates for January as I have a notice period of 90 days and it will get over by October if i put up my papers in August and my immediate travel dates will be in novermber but in december there are holidays so I will not get much job opportunities

It is mandatory to show some accomodation options. Howeverit is all tentative. As you dont clearly know (on the date of interview), when you will actually reach Germany, You only need to show 6 months accomodation plan for your planned stay there. It can be 3-4 months after interview date
5- If you are NOT able to download TWO certificates as I described in this video, you may b required to obtain Certificate of Equivalence from ZAB

6- There is No flat/general good or bad. If their conditions suits you, its good, else bad
