I love all the extra spots you share for food and adventure. We were able to take a trip through Colorado. We went from Breckenridge, down to the Sand Dunes, over to Mesa Verde and back up to Durango and headed North to Black Canyon and then Dinosaur Monument. We stopped at the Cream Bean for ice cream mmm berry ice cream was delic!. Thankful to see your review on Honeyville and James Ranch! We would have just drove by. We mentioned you guys and they were so thrilled - they receive several references from you guys. The grill was closed the day we were there but we took your advice and grabbed some meat to grill on our own. I wish we had bought more. Thanks for sharing your adventures - they are so helpful with my trip planning.
after almost one year of planning and anxious waiting, i am finally taking off for 5-week solo road trip to CO from seattle in 2 weeks. you are my main source of itinerary planning for many years. can't do it without you. you two totally expire me! Thank you!
I'm 15 and love your guys videos soo much. and it just soo amazing of what I have learned from watching your guys videos and just watching your guys video bring piece. it just show there more to life. you guys have motivated me to stay strong and to keep growing my UA-cam channel. thanks you
We met the owners of James Ranch recently, after watching this video. After explaining we had seen your review of the ranch , they said they had many people visiting due to your review. They hadn’t seen the video or didn’t know anything about you guys, so we were able to share it with them. Very cool! And, you were right, the food is amazing and the hospitality was as well.
We are in Silverton CO now, and your videos were invaluable in planning our trip to SW Colorado. Thank you for much for the detail you put in your videos, we really felt like we were able to plan the perfect first time trip for us.
We made the same trip a few weeks ago. We hurried from Durango to Ouray because it was getting late in the day and we didn't want to be on the million dollar highway in the dark. Enjoyed seeing the stops we missed along the way.
Really enjoyed this video ! The 2 baby goats 🐐 ghost n buster were so stinking cute. The scenery from Durango to Silverton was so beautiful. Thank you for all the free camping 🏕 spots. Can't wait to hit a few next month.
Hello Adventurers😊😊, Durango to Silverton is a beautiful drive, but the stretch from Silverton to Ouray is just absolutely stunning...no absolutely SPECTACULAR!! I drove that from Ouray to Durango and can't wait to do it again. Hey, Telluride and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park are not to far away. Wow, those sweet apple crisps looked really good! Great video👍👍👍👍👍👍! Looking forward to see what's next!

You guys keep discovering the most beautiful places! WOW! Another rewind video to see the scenery! Incredible drone shots!!! Nothing better than grass fed/ finished meat! Fabulous video guys! ~Cara 😊
You guys are awesome. Your videos has inspired us to leave Austin for a 2 weeks road trip to Utah Big 5 National parks to Mesa Verde, Durango and tonight we made it to Silverton. Tomorrow we head down to Pagoda Springs. Thank you both for your videos and travel tips. Keep them coming. Safe travels.
I live in Farmington, NM and every summer we take a drive up through Durango, Mancos, Silverton, Ouray, Cortez, Hesperus, and Ignacio. There's always something to do plus my husband has family all in the area. tfs
We've been in the Durango area, but we spent most of our time at Vallecito Lake. Can't wait to go back to this area and check some of these sights out too. Great video!
You guys are the best !! You are visiting some of my favorite places. Your warm personalities and enthusiasm bring me so much joy💞 Hey , the burger looked good ,🍔
Y’all have my favorite travel videos! I’m planning a trip to Durango Colorado with my wife in the near future. Keep up the great videos and travels. Thank you! 🤟👍👍
The whole day looked great! So many near places. The honey looked awesome. The Lime Creek road camp is exactly the kind of places I love to find! Beautiful day and loke for the kayak. Glad this trip worked out letter than the last one,,, lol. There is so much awesome boondocking in Colorado! Katy's absolutely favorite thing is pie iron treats!
We just ate at James Ranch Grill tonight. Best burger I've ever had. We are now at Cream Bean Berry. We spent all day in Mesa Verde and Sunday we ride the train. Most of it based on your recommendations and videos. Awesome!
It’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had too! So good and high quality! Cream bean berry is still in the top I’ve creams too! We’re so glad to hear you are having a great trip!
We loved this video! One - Adam's science lesson of the day at 3:50 was 👌 Two - Your inflatable double kayak looked amazing! That really seemed like the PERFECT day! We might just have to get an inflatable double kayak for ourselves! Three - You guys do taste tests right using the big spoon 👍
We LOVE the kayak! Despite our rough history with it lol! Maybe y'all could get Ollie on board too (Kona would HATE IT) 😂 And go big or go home when it comes to poison control right?! 😜
Years ago I drove over Wolf Creek Pass and through Durango. However I did it at night. Thanks for showing me what’s back there! Perhaps another trip is in order.
Hey great video! I've been a fan of your channel for a while now and I have to say that your video production is top notch! Great content and very entertaining. I really enjoy watching these.
Thanks for all of your Colorado hiking content! We're a full-time RV family going to Ouray to work camp. As creators your content is very inspiring, and very informative! We're so looking forward to hiking in the area! Thanks for what you do!
We love southwest Colorado! Be sure to check out our website also. We have a few guides and itineraries and we can be a lot more thorough there! adventuresofaplusk.com/12-day-southwest-colorado-road-trip-itinerary Thanks and thanks for watching!
Your videos are gold to me. 🎖 I so appreciate all the info you guys add. Not only I enjoy watching the places you guys film but also gain knowledge that you guys provide. It helps a lot when I wanted to go to that place. 😁 Saves me time and makes me confident to come to that place that I've never been or add to next trip back. Definetely makes plan a lot easier. Thank you! 🙏Also, love love love your signature coffee, taco, and ice cream finds. 🥰 Keep it up guys!
Ooh! Roadtrip! Just went on one ourselves but certainly didn't see a honey farm. How cool! (Even though I'm positively terrified of them! 😅) And holy cow those campsites!!! 😲 I'd want to just set up shop there at the first one for good. LOL. Beautiful!
Good to know about those campgrounds. We'll be up there in August for our Jeep off-roading and we're still doing our research on where to camp. Those burgers looked delicious. Ain't nothin' much better than a good ole' tasty burger.
They were both solid! Not the best cell service though, just fyi in case you need to work or need to be connected. The Kendall campground closest to Silverton has been good for cell service though!
Oh boy, the memories we have of that road are just phenomenal. We blitzed it unlike you guys, but the Molas Pass overlook was approached during golden hour. There was a group of us and we took about 200 photos of us just messing around and they came out SO beautiful! That Golden Horn campsite looked stunning and the drone shots, particularly the birds eye view ones of the river were all kinds of gorgeous ❤️
I LOVE the photo you sent us! It's such a gorgeous drive and we really tried to slow down in this area and explore it over a handful of days and I am so glad we did. I loved that drone shot of the river too! I'll let Adam know you enjoyed it 😍
Love your hobo pie creation. I'll have to try it. A few years ago I learned about making Dough Boys. You use Pillsbury dough and form it around a one inch round wooden dowel (or a clean stick), then cook it over a campfire. When it's done, remove it and fill it with any number of things - my favorite is peanut butter and chocolate chips.
You all do some great work but this video may be the best. It’s full of great places to hike, camp, & eat. I’d have to double back on this part of the trip just to do it all over again. Keep up the great work 👍
There's a bunch of the Color Red in this video (in the mountains & bluffs) & that's where the state gets its name from the Spanish venacular meaning the same. Spun/Whipped Honey has been my favorite since I was a kid. Great video!
Thanks for sharing your adventures. We are going with friends to Durango, SIlverton and Ouray Colorado in a few weeks. We have gone several times times but they have never been. I am sharing your vlogs to explain some of the adventures we will be doing. Thank you. I have subscribed and look forward to watching more of your adventures. Keep up the good work!
i love how you enjoy and describe the food!!! lol. It’s so beautiful with the snow on the mountains. The last time we were in the area, Sept. 2019, we got to drive through a “wall of snow”; they had record breaking snowfall the winter before. The “wall of snow” was a result of a huge avalanche that covered the road outside of Silverton on our way to do the Alpine Loop. Well, i’m caught up on your videos!! Until the next one! (or two).
Such beautiful scenery…I know I sound like a broken record when I say that but the places you visit are so breathtaking! Those burgers and fries looked awesome (and the ones you made too, Adam)! Adam, I think you have a bit of competition with Honeyville Teddy…watch it! 🤣 I wanted to reach into the TV and grab that honey…looked soooo tasty and so did your hobo pies! 😋🤤 Kona looked quite happy chewing on her sticks…Maui would have been begging for all the food being cooked and eaten! Those were drone shots this time, right???!!! They were awesome! Kona will try to catch anything…balls, snow and water…she is talented! Great job you two!
He better watch out, the teddy bear is a real threat! 🤣 🤣 You'd love the honey. They even have chocolate sauces too! Kona loved destroying the sticks, it was like a woodchipper on her bed by the time she was done haha. And yes, those were drone shots this time 😉
The San Juan Mountains are so pretty! While y'all are in southern Colorado you need to head over to Telluride! Hands down the prettiest ski resort in the US!!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Awesome!! Eating pizza there is a must! Two major staples in town- Brown Dog Pizza or High Pie Pizzeria. You can't go wrong with either one!
We been in honeyville and bought the same one and it was really good. And of course we eat in James Ranch and order what you got and your right it was really good.
Adam and Kathryn it was great running into you guys at Torchys ! Sorry did not get to meet Kona :( it was a pleasure chatting with you even if it was for a short while... totally enjoy your videos and following up on your destinations.. wish you guys great joy on your travels and thanks so much for sharing ! Gonna have to go to Honeyville soon ! I just Love Honey ! ha, ha, ha !!!
Hugo! It was so great to meet you yesterday! Thank you so much for saying hi and for chatting with us. We hope you continue to have some amazing adventures in the 4Runner!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Totally Likewise... I already added some of your destinations to my future travels.... so much to see... Safe travels ! Again Thanks !
Beautiful area for sure!! We've been up there a couple of times and stayed in Grand Marais. Also went into Canada to Thunder Bay and the Kakabeka Falls which is SO amazing!! So sorry you guys weren't able to trek up there this time. Loved the falls that you were able to see and a BEAR! Wow!
Saving these areas to visit! I had an Intex kayak for a while. For anyone interested, there is good and bad to them. But the portability is nice! They don’t pop easy, although I’d stay away from oyster beds lol. They are really thick and fairly heavy. They aren’t as quick as a regular kayak so I had a hard time keeping up with friends. Easy to inflate and set up, a pain to take down.
'Million Dollar Hwy'. I'm heading up that way, doing Imogene Pass, TomBoy Mine, Bridal Veil Falls and the Telluride Gondola, soon as this 118-degree early monsoon heat lets up here in Vegas.
You guys are awesome. You enjoy the same style of adventure as we do except we’re approaching our 60’s. Great video as always. We can only assume you’re heading towards Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. I hope you hike to the bottom like we did last summer. We took the Gunnison Route. So steep and sketchy but what a sense of accomplishment when finished. Keep up the awesomeness 👍🇺🇸.
We just went to James ranch today and it was amazing. This is the second place we’ve gone from your recommendations and both were 🔥. We went to Doughbirds in Moab a few years ago 👌
We are down in Farmington we go up to Silverton and ouray all the time it's our get away..... FWI Silverton fireworks on the 4th is some of the best in the country
@@AdventuresofAplusK hope y'all enjoyed your trip to our corner of the world anyway lol. Ever back this direction y'all can crash at our property by the river
So Kathryn likes to hog the fries (thank goodness for all the hiking) AND she has a secret yen for the Notorious "Biggie" B.E.A.R. All the behind-the-scenes stuff we don't know about. ("Did you eat all the fries?" "You snooze, you lose!") The West is so beautiful. And so endangered every year. The ongoing drought, the current heat wave. Stay safe and keep the great stories coming along!
Definitely love to hog the fries (or anything we share lol, we need someone to split it for us). And the west is definitely in rough shape this year, not starting out well at all 😭
Great vid! We just made that trip ourselves. That National Tropical MH and the yellow Chevy toad in your vid is our rig! We stayed at the Golden Horn camping area for 2 week while we explored Silverton and Ouray (in our car). The weather was perfect. We're in Bayfield now, heading to Pagosa Springs in a couple days. Hope to see you down the road. Take care!
I think we'll pass on the winter driving! But we actually drove the Million Dollar Highway 3 or 4 times when we visited, we just filmed it once for the video. It is really an amazing road!
I think we would happily pay extra for that quality food. Also really cool you can your the area. Definitely not a quick stop but definitely one to make.
good stuff. Im going to out there around mid July...cant wait !! looks like heaven... not like I've been to heaven but plan on going some day...so be good : )

The “wall of snow” was a result of a huge avalanche that covered the road outside of Silverton on our way to do the Alpine Loop. Well, i’m caught up on your videos!! Until the next one! (or two).
Oh wow, that is crazy! We have loved seeing a bit of snow here!
And yes, those were drone shots this time 😉
This is wonderful timing. We are heading up to Ouray next week. I know where we're stopping for lunch!
Yay! Enjoy!
Beautiful scenery!! I’m thinking we need to make a trip to CO!! Thank you for bringing us along!!
Yes! It's amazing!!!
Ahh, been waiting for this since your last video! Hoping they can get the fires under control.
It's really sad and scary how many are popping up so early! Glad they are now prohibiting campfires and other activities.
The San Juan Mountains are so pretty! While y'all are in southern Colorado you need to head over to Telluride! Hands down the prettiest ski resort in the US!!
We originally weren't going to be able to, but we had some plans change and are excited to check it out!
Those are two of our favorite places ever!
Wow!
We would love to go up to Canada next time! 🙌🏼
Not sure why this went onto your Colorado vlog. Oh well
OLOP suggested your channel. Top notch.
They are the best! So happy our paths crossed with them this year!
Lol the oyster beds are no bueno for those kayaks lol! We really love it though! It's the only way we could have one in the van, so it has been great!
I’m in Florida and wondered if they’d pop it. Now I know lol
Avoid at all costs lol! It was not a fun experience! Besides that, it has always felt super sturdy!
Red Mountain is my favorite and the Yankee Girl Mine!!
We loved that area! The color of the mountain is crazy!
'Million Dollar Hwy'. I'm heading up that way, doing Imogene Pass, TomBoy Mine, Bridal Veil Falls and the Telluride Gondola, soon as this 118-degree early monsoon heat lets up here in Vegas.
Ah very nice! That will be an awesome trip! Stay cool!
Getting pumped for my trip...
Have the best time!
Thanks y’all! And we did that hike last weekend, it was tough and awesome!
Wonderful video, guys! I'm excited for a two week Colorado road trip I have planned this summer.
Woohoo! That's going to be awesome! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Awesome travels y’all, love your vids 💜💜💜
Thank you so much for watching!
You two do some really great videos!
Thank you so much! 💕
What a fun adventure. Really loving your videos. I’m making the exact same trip this summer. Then over to Moab. Keep up the good work! 👍
That’s going to be an awesome trip!
Awesome video guys!
Thank you Johnny!
Omgoodness, meal envy!
It was sooo good!
Another awesome video 🤙
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!
Very well done. Thanks...
Thanks, Frank!
I’m doing the silver-ton railroad 5 hr ride thank you for the tip driving from Florida
Have a great time! We really enjoyed Silverton!
I'm surprised a bear didn't pop out of the woods with you all waving that open honey jar around!
Hahahaha we kept looking for them! So far no bears!
We just went to James ranch today and it was amazing. This is the second place we’ve gone from your recommendations and both were 🔥. We went to Doughbirds in Moab a few years ago 👌
We're glad you enjoyed it! That's good stuff! Thanks and thanks for watching!
We are down in Farmington we go up to Silverton and ouray all the time it's our get away..... FWI Silverton fireworks on the 4th is some of the best in the country
That’s what we have heard! Unfortunately we won’t be able to see them this year!
@@AdventuresofAplusK hope y'all enjoyed your trip to our corner of the world anyway lol. Ever back this direction y'all can crash at our property by the river
Awesome, thank you!
My home town!! James Ranch is the best in town.
We loved it! Such an awesome place!
So Kathryn likes to hog the fries (thank goodness for all the hiking) AND she has a secret yen for the Notorious "Biggie" B.E.A.R.
All the behind-the-scenes stuff we don't know about. ("Did you eat all the fries?" "You snooze, you lose!")
The West is so beautiful.
Take care!
Oh no way, how cool! It’s gorgeous out here and pagosa springs is super nice too!
You should drive the same route from Ouray to Durango. And do it in the winter time. It truly earns it’s title driving South.
It was absolutely delicious! And had a view! Can’t beat that 🙌🏼
Looks like another great area to see.
Great Video
Today is my 50th Birthday.
Happy happy birthday William! We hope you have an awesome day!
Watching you guys slowly move north makes me wonder if there are any Rocky Mountain National Park videos coming soon!
Stay tuned! It may be a while from now in vlog release time, but the plan is to visit soon!
good stuff. Im going to out there around mid July...cant wait !! looks like heaven... not like I've been to heaven but plan on going some day...so be good : )
It’s a gorgeous area!
