Nice! I just camped in mine this week. I put the seats down, take of headrests, push front passenger seat forward, and then all the way back with headrests off. It makes for a super long sleeping space. I also got a Napier SUV tent and that made it even more spacious!
This is probably a long shot, but would the poster happen to have a drawing with the measurements and everything written down? I have an '06 Scion that I want to build this conversion for.
that code problem is probably the little air sensor on the top of your engine .. it has a filter it needs to be blown out .. i found out the hard way in my scion xb 2006 ... cheap it is !! not the $ 400.00 charcoal box on the gas tank ......
I sold the car to a mechanic. He said it has something to do with emission. It seemed to be confident to fix it.Thank you for suggestion anyway! Have a good day!
@@Oregontrailblazin Hi Becky, Hi Radu....I've had the same problem, I've had my xB since 2006 and this issue has popped up a couple of times... two large reputable Toyota dealers have told me this is a quirk with the 1st generation Xb, particularly the early ones (mine is an '05) BUT...here's the good news, these are so reliable more often than not, that warning light doesn't mean anything at all. It can be caused by anything from a loose gas cap to altitude changes from driving in the hills, your finger slipping off the key and causing an incomplete start, etc. AND this check engine warning light can easily be reset and won't bug you again until the battery goes dead or is disconnected or interrupted or...some other issue makes the computer decide to light that pesky warning up again! -it is a VERY simple process. If I recall it only involves turning the ignition key and holding the odometer down. I can't remember the exact sequence, but if you google it or perhaps search on here...your problems will soon be over! If you still have any worries, one of those cheap plug-in diagnostic tools will reveal anything serious enough to trigger that warning light that WASN'T just a false alarm. May your dash stay lights be clear, and may all of your travels be safe, and blessed with freedom and fun! -peace :)
@@econoroller I have the same code. The issue is with the OBD port there two pins there. I have an 04 1st gen as well. Love my ride second owner for 11 years now🤗
Okay I like your cargo net idea for more room... But you got a few problems... First your hinges should be on the bottom side so you're not laying on them... Second I'm positive all those boards have cracked and started falling apart since you put them in... Desks are made out of particle board which crack very easily... Next I'm 6 ft and a lot of other people are... To make your design work better you need to make the front seats flat which they do, did you realize that? I have my passenger seat flush with the back seat and then I have a board over the top with an air mattress... You're saying you're getting 80 in, but from back of the front seat to the back of the car is about 70 in I think you miss measured... ✌️
Thx for reply! Here are some things to highlight. - hinges are flat and you can't feel them under air mattress. Worked fine. - desk was older and well built and I added some reinforcements later on, just to be safe. Not sure if that helped. They did squeak after a while, but not too bad. - as far as how flat seats go, I wanted to have a simple setup and not spend time in the morning to get back on the road. At least that was the idea. - you are correct with bed length. You made me do the math again :)) It is probably 70 inches, not 80. I suspect a typo. Good catch though :) Have a good day!

I camped in mine this summer. You can pull the passenger seat down backwards and itll be flush with the back seats for extra length if youre over 5'9"

@ 023.. it is that little box with wires on the on the air filter hose next to the battery that bigger hose

Where can I get the desk?
Look up on Craigslist under FREE section. Be patient as things come and go and move quick if you find what you like. Good luck to you!
