Interesting review/comparison, thx. The Hoka Rocket X2 reminds me a bit of the Endorphin Pro v1 looking at its profile and how you describe it. Just got back into running recently and haven't tried any of the newer highend shoes but received an Endorphin Pro v3 today and a Metaspeed Sky+ is on its way. Maybe also worth to note that these two later ones are way cheaper by now compared to the rather new Hoka. Side note once more: Don't go for UK sizes. Hoka runs 0.5cm shorter here. Not astonishing the ASICS is more roomy if you pick .5cm longer shoe.
I have been waiting for comparisons between lower drop super shoes, so thanks for that. Interesting how your views differ with very informative points and yet you both agree on the shoe of preference. LOL! My question for you is, which shoe do you think would work better for a midfoot to forefoot striker? I am not a heel striker at all. Cheers!
Thank you for this. I eventually bought the sky+ now that it is affordable and loving it also for training. Its comfort might explain its success in triathlon. About revisiting oldies, what is your current take on the Mizuno wave rebellion pro that has totally been off the conversation since the launch?
Hi guys, i really love your show and looking forward to achieving such numbers as yours.. I am new to running and have been doing it for about 3 months.. i weight 91 kg and my 10 k pace is around 7:00 km/min I have two shoe rotation those are Nike alpha fly 1 and Puma Nitro Velocity 2 .. i am looking for a max cushion shoe.. what shall you suggest?
I have this Sky+, as well as Alphafly V1 and Vaporfly V2. Honestly....I still think that, even for faster races like 5k, the Alphafly V1 is my favourite....but really, I think the Sky+ is on par with the Vaporfly. I'm not a rapid runner, around 17 flat for a 5k.
Definitely the Metaspeed Sky + for me too. I think Nick's points echo my own.
This is the VS I have been waiting for.
Hey Capt..Nice to see you here! lol
Good to see the two of you agree to disagree. It’s the secret sauce for a channel that has multiple reviewers.

The asics metaspeed is more for a fast runner. The hoka rocket x can be use for more different paces I think.
Great vid, thanks
Would you choose the Endo Elite over the Sky+?

My x2's outsoles are starting to fall apart after just 32 miles!

I love the Rocket x2
My shoes have feel apart after just 32 miles just watch the outsole on those shoes
I think so to, I'm going back to the running shop tomorrow as they are fantastic shoes maybe just bad luck, have other hoka shoes with zero issues
metaspeed but edge for me
Fantastic👍💓💓💓💓
Hoka has a shit fit. But is very responsive. I found the competition to be better :).
