Hi there for anyone wondering I still like the CORE of MK1's gameplay but I'm disappointed with everything around it e.g. lack of content, Invasion is a joke, not enough skins/costumes and I'm talking about actual skins instead of recolors, desync issues, input errors, some top tiers remaining untouched, kameos having different health values which makes them unplayable, invisible bug is STILL in the game even after the "fix", brutality bugs and just the fact that I spend 100 bucks on an early access game from a billion dollar company (I know theyre "bankrupt"). I will definitely play Tekken 8 when it comes out but will still try to keep somewhat active with MK1 content.
This game is the most fun i had with any NRS games. Watch every tournament still . What has changed … is the community. Old pros got older and saltier because the new generation is kicking their asses. The Problem is that this generation is also super entitled.The game will get better. It has problems , but nothing irreparable. Me, I like watching people enjoying the game. MK Tom Brady streams has him hating on the game constantly…… compare with Honneybee/ Mr Aqua / Rip / Foxy and Destroyer. When i hate something…. I stop immediately. Hope you enjoy Tekken 8 more, because the stress you are putting yourself through is not worth it ….Unless you make a decent living. Tekken is not for me but I’ll still support. I’ll just have to find another Shang that makes content.
Hey @Raivazz I noticed you haven't made any content in a while. You had one of the best Shang's I had ever seen. Do you think you might return to MK1 after the MK Year 2 update?
as a long time tekken player im making the switch to mk1 soon, will main shang/havik. I got let down with the overall gameplay and neutral that heat has turned t8 into. First to gain momentum wins ez pz. Characters like hwo will just chip u to death with minimal risk, no more fast ch pokes that make the opponent think twice before mashing, more encouragement for relentless pressure and crazy oki that some safe moves give you now.. I'll have to wait until t8's release to see how they might change things, but i personally got burned out after learning a solid portion of the roster and now they're making every character an aggressive powerhouse just in different shapes and size. Thanks, ill pass for now. Btw ur content is fire keep up the good work, learning as i watch Thing to add: I already see the blatant flaws that mk1 has, but i find the gameplay itself refreshing. Interested to see how hard meta chars like raiden and johnny will body me in the future tho lol
understandable we're both fed up with our main fg and making a switch for a fresh experience, I'll keep posting MK1 content but will also give tekken 8 a chance bc I loved t7. The game looks promising to me and devs actually care about their product unlike NRS
@@Raivazz absolutely brother. I saw ur kaz stream, was really impressed with how u play so far. And yea i totally agree on that, hopefully something will be done at some point to prevent mk1 from going to complete shit cause it looks fun. Gl with ur t8 journey
I do think MK1 needs to improve on a few things but Tekken has always bored the hell out of me. Have to be honest it feels like the same game in new skin of paint. MK and SF at least change things up add new modes. Tekken never does this, their changes will be minimal and I prefer fighters with special moves and such instead of just punching and kicking juggles. But hey different strokes for different folks.
MK1 might be a great game in the future but for now its nothing but a hot mess I think I said it multiple times by now. Ill give t8 a chance while trying to maintain mk1 content. To each their own as you said I completely understand some people not liking it
Yeah I mean like I said it needs some things worked on but the gameplay is solid, much better than MK 11 by far. I see some people trying to say "MK11's speed was faster than MK1" those people are on drugs as someone who's competed in every MK game even the 3D games. But that's another issue all together. Tekken 8 from the demo just didn't feel like anything fresh to me. I get the appeal(though I still say VF should get more credit since Tekken pretty much just took their foundation but I digress) I do think invasions was a bad idea, as well as Kombat League. No game imo should ever be super grindey and that time consuming on a clock no less to unlock exclusive skins be it a timed mode or ranked especially. The 3 exclusive skins just isn't worth it imo. Aside from KL's other issues like dealing with toxic people, cheaters, laggers, lag switchers, pullers etc, etc and now we have the desync issue. I just think they need to kill this mode all together in future MK's I hope because from what I see more fans hate it than like it. A good portion of players won't get to Grand Master, Demi God nevermind Elder God yet NRS are pretty much forcing everyone to play for "exclusive skins" the grind isn't worth it. For invasions same but my main beef with invasions is how long each mesa is, if it was like 25-30 fights with more modes I'd enjoy it more but 53 nodes, nearly impossible survives that take you 50 times to get it and having to rank up/upgrade like an RPG just makes it not fun. Someone at NRS is an RPG fanboy and they need to remember this is a fighter not an RPG. That's my rant on MK 1 lol haha yep indeed! I've always been more into MK, SF, Smash, KI fighters with special, super moves than just hand to hand like VF, Tekken and DOA. Just my preference. Always enjoy your shang tsung vids.
