Let me know what questions you have regarding the AP Lit exam!
Hi 2024 AP Lit students, good luck on the exam! I enjoyed helping a lot of you through tutoring, DMs, and comments this year. After the exam, feel free to come back and let me know if you found my videos useful.
Bruh how are supposed to do this in 40 minutes
collegeboard: figure it out homie
@@nehaahmed1465 😂
Ikr, like i feel like i could definitely do this reliably, just not in 40 minutes. If they gave me 80 minutes i would be able to make an excellent essay, clearly demonstrating my knowledge and understanding consistently. But of course, that would make too much sense for college board.
Got a 4 tho

You carried me in AP Lang last year and you'll carry me again this year
Best comment 😂

I'm a Harvard Grad-student at SEAS; but, I've never fully grasped Literary and English coursework. You did a superb job on this video. The content is precise and--for someone whose strong suits do not include poetry analysis--is extremely helpful to me. Thank you!
The clarity in which you explain makes all the difference. Thank you!
thank you so so so much this helped me a lot you're amazing and this was the first actually helpful video i found for poetry essays
This is awesome! I genuinely wanted to improve my poetry analysis skills! Thank you!
Cramming for Lit 002 finals in community college, thank you for this hyper specific timed essay tutorial!
Thanks so much! This video really helps with breaking down how to approach the poem and break it down.
No problem! I really appreciate your feedback :)
Thank you so much for this video!! Very helpful !
Thank you so much! This was pretty helpful and exactly what I was looking for.
So glad that this video helped you out!
I can't believe it can be this good
lol watching this during my 45 min break before the essay portion
Thank you!!
thank you!!!
thank you so much!
tomorrow’s the day…and I’m SCREWED
Same 😭
same :(
@@notyourname5666 how’d yours go 😭 I don’t think my poetry analysis was THAT bad but my Q3 was god awful 😭😭 the octopus one tho 😭😭
@@mariuspontmercyfanpage Idek lmao, I thought it was kinda easy but also kinda hard, I’m hoping for at least a 3
I’m watching this while taking the test
Good luck yall
Any one else here two hours before the test?
im not doing this shit oml
Sus tone my guy,.......
This was a great video. Thank you very much! Just wondering though, is there a complete essay we could see that follows the outline you showed?
I'm happy that this video was helpful! I actually took the AP Literature exam in 2018, so I wrote an essay using this prompt for the test itself. I was able to remember my annotations to make this video, but unfortunately, I don't have access to my essay.
@@MsPeerEditor Oh, that's unfortunate. I ask because I find writing the essay from an outline almost just as hard as coming up with the thesis statement and outline. Perhaps you could do a video on that, where you write full introduction and body paragraphs from scratch.
I'm cooked
Watching this 10 hours before the test 😥
watching an hour before 😜
Great video! I have one question. Could you explain how the consonance of "s" creates a suspicious tone?
Good question! That particular part of the poem you're referring to displays sibilance, which creates a hissing effect by using the "s" sound repeatedly. In some cases of poetry, sibilance can create a soft, musical effect, but in this stanza, the hissing sound makes it seem as though the speaker is spitting out the words, wary of the plants' intentions.
@@MsPeerEditor I thought more about the Biblical allusion of the serpent in the garden and how snakes kind of became known for being deceptive because of that.
My teacher won't teach and just yells at us so here I am
Are 2 body paragraphs really fine? All my eng teachers stressed 3 paragraphs with 3 evidences each
yea if they are detailed enough and with thorough analysis then 2 body are enough each with 2 examples
I’ve done 2 for every essay and my teacher has given me only 6s I guess it could vary
my test is in 8 hours lol
mine starts in 1
This would have been nice two days ago. Lol.
Great video, but we don’t need at least 3 things to talk about in the essay?
no
thank you for this video I got an A+ on my in class sonnet analysis. muwah
Omg that's amazing, congrats! Glad this video helped :)
