Aviation is huge in the contracting world especially in the Middle East. Many countries rely on US contractors and EU contractors to keep there aviation programs running. Every aspect. Maintenance, administration, supply (I’m doing this right now in Saudi Arabia). Have you gone on indeed, clearance jobs and others searching using keywords that match your skills yet? You may be very surprised. Try that ok?
Clearance jobs, I tried looking up jobs but at the first page it asks about if had security clearance or in the military. My experience is trip support (permits, ground handling, customs, flight plans...) with no military experience. I'm US citizen but I was born in Kuwait and lived there for years and would love to go back. Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain or Saudi. It seems the contract jobs that I was able to find are towards ex military. I'll keep looking through. One last question, do you know if I could take my family with me if I land a contract?

@@RetireandGoHey thanks for the reply! I’m looking for anything help desk related/entry level IT specialist. I have my security+ and about to get a Microsoft Windows Azure certification as well, and do have a Secret clearance (currently in use) working at an Air Force base.
Was hoping to continue the same line of work overseas.

Make sure to get the security plus certificate
That is required by most civilian employers for gov tech jobs
There are equivalent certs as well

@@RetireandGohello! Yes I recently built and updated my profile on clearance jobs. I applied to many jobs through the contracting site and have my fingers crossed. I have Secret clearance, Security+ and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ900. I’m hoping that is sufficient for a help desk role in IT overseas! Id love to experience a new culture as well as have the opportunity to make more income!

If you don’t have a clearance the company will apply for one for you
