- Sydney's Cape Solander is a super dangerous reef break that creates the gnarliest wipeouts on the planet. As Koby Abberton says 'Pound for pound, Cape Solander is the heaviest, scariest wave in the world'.
Tim Bonython has been documenting Cape Solander almost from the beginning and so we decided to create a series of Terror Vault wipeout & moments edits with his home wave Cape Solander.

That was a fucking haymaker at that. Surprised it didnt knock him out. The way the lip amplified immediately before it lunged out and hit him makes it look like the wave purposefully punched him in the face.

The reason they thought it's not rideable, is because it's not rideable. The music is pretty damn cool, as others have noted. But surfing is for fun first, ego last.

Huge slab, messy, sharky, with a nice backwash right in the middle of the tube to leave you no chance (4:40 that's so cruel man). You got to be australian to go in there. You take the wipeout of your life and everyone is laughing, that shit it definitely next level.

A lot of those massive massive waves , there's just no way out. Gotta wonder if some of these hellbent surfers go into them anyway for that split second of green room glory knowing that it's virtually certain this is going to end...badly? Very brave (if not extremely crazy) lads.

I watched part 2 first and thought those poor guys took some beatings at shippys. But after watching this one these guys win hands down on with at least a dozen "how did they not die" lip launches
Part 2 is The Right, not shippies. Way more dangerous then this wave. Its in the middle of no where off the coast of WA. You get hurt out there, wont be any help for hours. But cape fear is crazy its own right. Watched the comp last year, young gun from ulladulla won it.

Terror vault is the video name . The name of this break , like said in the beginning are either Cape Solander , Cape Fear ( Red Bull ) , or Ours.
