Thank you Mrs. Tiffanie for being so open and honest with us. My family( which is me, my fiancé, and our 2 boys, and our dog) are similar to you guys in the sense that we're a 1 income family, I work and provide, and my boy's go to public school, and my fiancé is basically disabled, with health issues... so our budget is super tight, and we're struggling to get through alot of the time. 4 years ago, we moved away from everything and everyone we ever knew and came to live in a very small town in western Minnesota, and before that we were living out of a hotel room, and that was due to us losing our apartment, so I was given an opportunity to move and i took it, hoping for the best and it turned out better than I had ever imagined. God sure did provide for is in every way, as he always has and still does.
Keep your heads held high, and just take it one step at a time, and know that you will come out on the other side stronger than ever. Big hugs sent your way! I'm always here if you need to chat hun! ❤

Tiffani, my husband and I totally understand. I graduated from my masters program last year. I had a job in the mental health field. The administrators were unhappy with my job performance and I was terminated in November. My unemployment has been exhausted and no job yet. I can’t believe how expensive groceries, gas and housing costs have gotten. I’ll pray for you guys. Jamie and became Catholic. We love being a part of the Catholic community.

Tiffani, thank you for being so honest. It’s SO difficult right now. I don’t understand how it’s so expensive to even get groceries as a family of 3.. our daughters 10 and we can spend easily $250 a week on groceries and come home and it’s like what did we even get? I work about 32mi away for my job and gas ugh. Everything, everything. It’s a struggle and it’s HARD. I’m glad you and will are able to communicate about this because it’s a difficult topic. Talking about finances openly isn’t easy either. But like you said, so many of us are in the same boat. So it’s nice to hear out loud that someone else is going through it too. ❤

The first step is already done you recognized you needed to correct direction. Now just execute a plan and dont give up and you will be fine! There are a lot of things you can do to slash your food budget and many ways to preserve food besides pressure canning. Wishing you much success in getting where you and your family feel comfortable and Thanks for sharing! You got this!

You are awesome and you are doing the best you can! Fellow SAHM here ♥️ Everything makes sense that you are talking about. We have 2 little boys and it is so hard to keep up with everything financially. It often feels like the walls are caving in. Every month we barely get by. Prayer is powerful and that’s what I’ve been working on. Keep your head up, pray, and thank you for sharing! So happy to see you post! ♥️
I’m also very interested in the container garden. I look forward to hearing more about it.
Also, try red pepper flakes on the soil to prevent critters from digging. Chipmunks are the worse. Strawberries do well in hanging baskets 🙂

    1. I can’t believe how much the kids are growing so fast !!!
    2. Thank you for being so vulnerable and open. That’s not easy. But I get it . We’re in a super similar situation. Family of 5 in one of the most expensive counties in New Jersey . My husband makes around 140k a year and we still can’t get ahead. My oldest starts college in the fall and just between expenses wuth her , her car , school and health issues ( surgery ) .. it’s just impossible. Groceries here are insane . I actually will be going back to work part time after being a stay at home since my daughter is 6( almost 18 now ) as a lunch aide in our school district so I don’t need any care for my youngest and still have summers off . Keeping you guys in my prayers ❤

I fell ill in October right after we bought a fairly expensive home in BC Canads. I haven't been able to work since so we are now q single income home with a pretty high mortgage. I have no sick leave left or disability. My partner has a good job but even in this economy its not good enough. And he is a professional. It's not easy!! And scary at times! I also have an existing disability and illness on top of whatever has made me sick the last while so I can relate...it is so difficult and can be depressing! So many can relate to you so don't feel shame in sharing struggles...it just makes you more human and relatable.

The Lord will provide and make a way where there seems to be no way. We have been in your situation. God is faithful to take care of those who love Him. I'm mostly a SAHM and homeschool. Just recently I started work in the evenings part time. I do school with the kids during the day...dad comes home and I go to work for 5 hours, 4 days a week. It helps where we are short. Praying all works out for you. As for the comment telling you to get a real job.. I hope you ignore it because being a wife and mom full time is the most important job on this earth and it's the hardest yet most rewarding job ❤ It's sad our society downgrades it.

Couple things - a while ago, you did a series on what you spent every day. I found that very interesting and I'm sure it added a layer of accountability.
As far as canning - I garden and can. I'm not sure exactly what you are thinking to can, but I'd suggest starting with water bath canning. The water bath you need is more like $60-70 (so a lot cheaper - I can find a link to one if you need one) and it works for any low acid foods - tomatoes, salsas, fruit, jellies, etc. Just something to think about!

May I kindly suggest that you do look into local food banks/ food pantries.
They are there specifically for times such as this, when you find yourself struggling. ans need a little something extra to help feed the family.
Maybe it is something you have considered and maybe it is something you have started but wish to keep silent, which is also fine But please do look into it in your area.

Starting your own container garden is so exciting. I will say, it looks like you need to water quite a bit more often. If you get pepper plants, they do best with less water because they are very sensitive little things. I have had various peppers for years now and the less water they get, the hotter they are. However I am not trying to say don't give them any water. I just don't keep them wet by any means.
I have bought several things from Temu. I am not ashamed. You buy what you can afford and even if you can afford more, why pay more? By the way, super cute pjs!

We are currently buckling down and saving for a down payment on a house. But 1st we must do a little work! Hubby has changed jobs after 22 year as his current job has lost their ever loving mind to put it as nice as possible. He starts the 9th! We re hoping by the time we save a down payment and settle into the new job... Then maybe the rates will be better! Good job on the garden!!!

My husband and I are struggling with the high interest rate right now too on our land loan and are actually in the middle of building a new home, but it's at a stand still right now because of funds. Im sorry to hear about these things 🙏🏼 meany prayers for y'all ...
I have struggled being a single mother with 4 kids .. I had to work 2 full time jobs... Was hurt on one of them and was let go for this .. was still able to hang on to one for about 6yrs . Then they let me go do to my injury I could do the job I was hired for .. and was in a workers comp lawsuit with the other one .. at that time only had 2 kids at home with me but we became homeless ... And let me tell U ...U find out quick that U really dont have family or friends when u have nothing .. Had to file for SSI/SSD back in 2013 as I'm now permanently disabled from this work injury and that took 3yrs to get .. it was hard and heart breaking 💔 having 2 teenagers and they needed to finish school . (As they did). Made me proud .. didnt always have $$ for a motel room. Would ask the kids friends parents if the kids could stay a few nights and I would send them with food for all in the house. As I stayed in a park... Went from a income of $32,000 a month to nothing .. was hard .. and now its $1,000. A month not much but I make it work . All the kids are grown now . Had to move from California to experience.. I'm so glad I don't have no debt .. payed off the student loan long before all this. Dont own any credit cards.. but I guess the moral of is.... Would be just keep praying he is listening 🙏🏼 and u listen too and he will gide u .. as He will never give U more then u can handle ..
"Used to say I guees he thought I'm a bad ass cuz that sure was alot on my plat at one time "
Y'all have a Blessed week and Happy Mother's Day to all Mom's / Dads that have to be Mom too .... Ur all amazing and never forget U R ENOUGH 💞
    And U got this ...

You can defeat that debt!! I'm a low-income person with debt, I've never really cared to take care of it but now I'm trying. I'm looking to move and would be easier with less debt. I don't have the ability to just pay them and not use them. I wouldn't be able to eat if I did that. So, I'm focusing on one at a time while still using the others. I make the minimum payment on all of them but any "extra" money, above and beyond regular income, I get from selling something, as a gift, as payment for any "work" I do for people, ect, I put 25% of that towards that said debt. I've been going through and selling things we don't use or need. I was able to pay $750 off last year, plus the interest it accrued, in 7 months.
Really shop sales for your food, you can save so much money that way! Like right now Meijer is having a buy 7 or more pay $1 each sale. I stocked up on Martha White muffins, I know that's only $0.12 cheaper than Walmart but it's still a savings. I also got mangos, carrots, broccoli, crackers with peanut butter in them, yellow onions, hot dogs, lunch meat. They also have bandaids, q-tips, toothbrushes, small bottles of sunscreen, all for $1 each in that sale. Then they have strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries for $0.99 each so I got a ton of those and am washing them and freezing for snacks during the summer, my kids are already eating them.
I try to only leave my house 1-2 times a week so as to save money on gas. Not a single vehicle house here because it logistically won't work, unless I need a vehicle though we only drive one. We don't really eat out. We do get pizza twice a month and my dad buys the kids and I McDonalds twice a month when we visit him (one of the main reasons we need 2 vehicles, my parents and grandma live 2 hours away), but that's it.
I do plan to share all of the details about how I live on $1500 a month on my channel in the next month or two. I also plan to share how much debt and how I plan to pay it off to help keep myself accountable because I recently fell off for a month or so and accrued some debt back.

@SimpleWifeSimpleLife that's bs. I wonder if u can get a new 0% through someone else as a balance transfer. 🤔 I have alot of debt to and not proud of it. With kids it's not cheap but things will get better. You are a strong bad ass mom. Have u ever checked out flashfoods app? Or any food apps? I use ours here in canada, if it's not to spec u can ask 4 refund. Sometimes u can find amazing deals on food. Changes all the time. Missed hearing from u on here but I understand. Health issues here to. I was diagnosed with hashimotos and waiting till October to see a specialist to see potential other one with my skin ffs. So u r an inspiration ✨️ 🙌

@SimpleWifeSimpleLife maybe say u don't work and u need options or it will go to collections. Not really but they don't know that. They are scammers.

Throwing this out there because I am a disabled mom by any chance do you qualify for disability due to all your health conditions? Something to look into you may be surprised that you actually qualify.

My doctor recommended that I apply, so I did last year and after 8 months of deliberation, I was denied.
