- Polo G has been making headlines recently and it all boils down to one thing: his refusal to change. Whether it's his life in the streets that he once promised to abandon, or his music style becoming overly repetitive - his devotion to staying consistent is costing him his career now. As he has recently stated he wants to quit rapping after his next album "The Hood Poet" - as well as being locked up on some very serious charges.
This is a documentary of Polo G's insane story, and after researching this topic - I truly would hate to see him throw everything away for such a stupid reason.

It's low key fucked how people think he's "ruining his career" with his decisions as if every other rapper isnt doing worse shit than polo, and he really the only rapper out here rapping wit a purpose, every body else out here rapping about the same shit every song that means nothing. Saying polo will never change couldnt be more wrong, yea he had that shit in Miami but after that he went to anger management classes and stayed in his own lane, and with the stuff with his recent law situation obviously wasnt something he did or he wouldnt be walking free. Polo has changed, if you look at his music over time he has chilled out a lot considering how he used to be, over the years he has changed for the better even though there has still been obstacles for him.

i just don’t get why he’s not dropping, he’s the type of artist that has a style that can’t really fail like a juice wrld, a 21 savage or a drake, obviously not to that extent but u get my point. All he needs to do is drop a project every couple years with 10-15 songs on it, get a few beats from the producers who are on top of the game at the time and come up with some catchy hooks like he has done before. Polo g really had no incentive to innovate and grow as an artist after the goat dropped. His sound only really evolved as a response to his fans claiming his music got bland, and even then, the changes he made were extremely uncreative, and basically just stripped his music of everything that made him a unique artist. He favored melody and singing, over lyrics and energy, and thats what killed his career
