    You’re wonderful at explaining, I’ve been involved for many years which are my complaining I just wear bald but now I decided to let it grow back but the edges do not come back in, so I decided the best way to find out how to take care of that is look at a gentleman review, and so far you’re the best explain it explicit details, so I just want to say thank you you help save me money going to do exactly the way you did it until I get it right, because now I think I’m ready to wear my little teeny weenie hair I do enjoy the short look I couldn’t do fades because of the cleanliness around the edges of my hairline, so I’m going to work this method and thank for all of your help you’re the best. I’ll make sure I use a facemask 😷when applying it and I’ll still use the method that you demonstrated , I’m getting ready to oil my pomade right now. 🥰👩🏾‍🦲😍

    You can also apply Toppik on your hair and then use some light hair spray right after applying Toppik, then let it dry then the fibers will lock into your hair and it will stay that way for as long as you need it until you shampoo and shower, but for super short hair, the demonstration in the video works very good !!

    My friend I can't thank you enough for the pomade tip. I bought the castor oil pomade but wasn't sure if it would work as effectively for me since I have longer, very fine hair. I tried it today and WOW what a difference! Before the fibres would collect more on my scalp than the hair (even using tap and pull). That was with dry hair. When I pulled my hairline back you could see a thick layer of fibres on my scalp - not good. With this pomade, however, the fibres now stick to the hair shaft and barely any fall on to the scalp, EVEN when I run my hand through my hair (I expected to get a handful of fibres when I did that, but surprisingly nothing came off). I can actually now style my hair with the pomade and fibres in. I also use hairspray to add extra hold. So glad I found this video!

      Bekah, thank you for leaving such a thoughtful comment. My goal is to spread awareness that it is okay for men to use these products. It doesn't have any bearing on one's 'masculinity' or whatever that means. I've come to find out that a great number of guys use hair fibers, but are simply not telling anyone about it. The views on this video prove that I think lol.
      It's also nice to see a female drop by the channel. Thanks for your suggestion. Some of my viewers have longer hair, and so my application method doesn't work as well for them.

    • @keratinbrotherhood
      @keratinbrotherhood  5 років тому +1

      HMilli, thanks for your comment brother. It took me a lot of frustration and experimentation to find the best way for me. Most of the videos on UA-cam tell people to shake the fibers. That only works if you have very long hair, and even then you’ll end up wasting fibers all over the place.
      For the lining, like I mentioned in the video, I don’t wear a super tight lining. But I find that if you wear the wave cap or do rag to lay the hair down, it’s easier to apply to the fibers. You’ll end up with fiber on your forehead, but just wipe those away when you finish.

    Awesome video. This method would definitely seem to be the most effective for your type of hair coverage. I have long hair (3 inches) so I will have to experiment to see if this is still the best way to go. I've only used toppik a couple times, with the salt and pepper method. By the way: the tapping sound is very ASMR. You should upload a video just of you applying the fibers to your whole head.

      Yeah, this video is targeted specifically toward guys with shorter hair or with a similar grain of hair. So perhaps the pomade will not work the same for you. I’d imagine it must be a lot different applying hair fibers to longer hair. Try using it again and let us know what method works best for you because there are others who watch this video and are similar to you.
      When I was editing the video, that was the first thing I thought about when watching me applying the fibers: this is like ASMR 😂

    Hey this is the best application I have seen to apply the fibers. Do you have to blow dry the hair or can I just apply the pomade and then the fibers. Thanks.

    • @keratinbrotherhood
      @keratinbrotherhood  5 років тому +12

      Thanks for your question Terrance.
      If you apply the fibers directly after applying pomade, you won’t be able to move them around to blend. You will likely end up with an unbalanced and blotchy look. Plus, the tap and pull method won’t work very well and the sieve on the Toppik bottle will get clogged up. That’s why I suggest blow drying for a minute or so; take some of the gumminess out of the pomade.

    Word to the wise...when dumping/distributing the hair fibers, rather than dumping like salt/pepper, keep the tip of your thumb or pinky finger on the cap to keep it secure. I have (twice) had the cap fall off during this process, and like he said the entire contents fall on the floor and on your body. Worst than losing the $40 is cleaning that shit up. It's a nightmare and embarrassing if it happens to be someone elses bathroom or house!

I am an African male and bought the black bottle of the hair fibre. Am I using the wrong colour or do I have to add something to help it blend in many thanks

    • @keratinbrotherhood
      @keratinbrotherhood  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Dennis, thanks for your message. I understand you bought the black colored fibers? Your hair may actually be a dark brown instead of black. My hair is jet black, but I know many other African guys’ hair is a dark dark brown. If possible, I’d recommend ordering a sample of the dark brown and seeing how it works. I’ve heard of some guys actually mixing two or more colors together to match their hair color, so that might be a solution for you as well.
      Let me know how it works for you and if you are able to solve the problem.
