at 7:30 when it says "as lonely as a lamppost" there is no alternative interpretation, but I think one could be that lampposts are normally surrounded by other lampposts, just that they are spaced apart, so it may take some time but the speaker will realise that they are not, in fact, as lonely as they seem
or maybe i'm just overthinking it

It really depends on time! I used to aim for about 3 paragraphs put it did take me a lot of practice 😊
