A user-worked/footpath level crossing with red and green lights located around a mile east of Edenbridge within Kent. This level crossing has two Schweizer "Value for money system (Vamos)" units - one for each side - which each have rather loud alarms which can clearly be skipping and repeating their short, recorded sound tracks as the red lights show. This system was installed here as a trial in 2015, and other variants of the same system have since been installed at similar footpath and user-worked level crossings across the country, though this particular example is unique since the alarms are loud and mounted externally, with more recent variants having the alarms installed within the units. On the closest side in this video, a 'yodalarm' from the previous set-up at this level crossing (with Unipart Dorman red/green lights) remains on a pole, though it isn't wired into the system and does not sound during activations. The road which this level crossing is located on can only be accessed by authorised vehicles, but it is also a public footpath, with the public footpath continuing each side of this level crossing.
    Thanks for watching!
