I love that you can actually hear some of the lyrics sounding *very similar* to the lyrics from the original Chinese version. I'm not sure why this might be the case, it might be language influence or they might just be singing certain parts in Chinese.
Yes! You are correct. Much of the Japanese language comes from Chinese (like how much of English is from Greek and Latin), so many lyrics here almost perfectly match the original, like "天昇太陽"/"tenshou taiyou" in this version and "天上太阳"/"tianshang taiyang" in the original Chinese version. The reason the "Iyaizuyoe" and "Sorerazu" parts sound basically the same as the original is because those parts don't really mean anything in the original song, being more like "la la la" in English songs. (The subtitles still give those parts meaning for some reason though.) And yes, sometimes they just literally sing in Chinese, like how Mao's name of "毛" is sang as "Mao," the Chinese way, instead of "Mou," the Japanese reading of the same character.
I saw this, a few months ago and I didn't know why, but now I know a little bit more about Japanese-Chinese translations. It's specifically written in a way, using special language features that aren't usually used in speech, to sound and represent the Chinese better.
Here before terminally online racist westoids flood the comments section with unfunny “jokes” about the fictional “social credit” system and Winnie the Pooh
That’s only half the picture. Given it’s a Japanese version, you can also expect to see comments reducing Japan to simply “anime”, as is the case with all Japanese communist music I’ve posted. It’s an orientalist viewpoint that disregards the rich history of class struggle in Japan.
If only those reactionary fools knew that Winnie the Pooh is actually a true comrade anyway... I mean just look at the color scheme, for example. You seriously telling me that shirt of his just happens to be the deep blood red of the people's banner of the glorious Revolution by some kind of accident?! Yeah, sure bro... ok... AND it "just happens" to be the only piece of clothing he owns? Being a poor working-bear living in his makeshift squat under a tree, because he refuses to pay rent to any filthy landlord! And HE IS NOT "hoarding all that honey". He's seized the means of production so as he can redistribute it to the hungry proletariat, obviously! Winnie the Pooh is a communist revolutionary hero. It's subversive anti-capitalist media straight from the imperial core, and I'm pretty sure president Xi would be thrilled by the comparison. Long live the Revolution! Long live the People! Long live Chariman Mao Tse-Tung and President Xi Jinping, and Long live Winnie the Pooh!
